Happiest birthday to Elz 🥳❤️

Over 10 years of friendship… which honestly deserves an award in itself 😂 We’ve had our ups, our downs and everything in between, but what matters is that we always get through it and come out the other side still putting up with each other 🤣

You’re basically like my annoying little sister — I didn’t ask for you, but unfortunately I’m stuck with you now 😂❤️

So grateful for all the memories, the laughs, the chaos and everything in between. Here’s to many more years of friendship, questionable decisions and you continuing to do my head in 😂

1. 💅 Having someone else do my nails
I could do them myself, but I’d rather use that time to work, spend time with my family or actually switch off.
2. 🧖‍♀️ Getting my waxing done
Could I do it myself? Technically yes. Do I want to? Absolutely not 😂. Time is more valuable.
3. 📅 Managing my own diary
Being able to block out time for myself, the gym, family and work is something I wouldn’t give up.
4. 🧹 Paying for things that give me my time back
Cleaning, admin, anything I can outsource — if it gives me back a few hours, it’s worth it.
5. ☕ A proper break
Actually sitting down, having a coffee and not answering messages for 20 minutes. Sounds simple, but as a business owner, that’s a luxury!

This week has been all about DISCO NAILS 🪩

side of owning a salon nobody really prepares you for… 👀

Everyone sees the pretty salon, the lovely clients, the finished nails and the exciting new treatments.

But behind the scenes there’s the admin, the bills, the staff, the cancellations, the content, the decisions, the problem-solving and the constant “what do I need to do next?”

And after 12 years of owning my salon, I can honestly say there are things I wish someone had told me before I started.

Owning a business can be incredibly rewarding — but it can also be bloody hard.
