We have been visiting more of the fabulous outdoor saunas in Bristol thanks to some warm invites, and we thought it was time to share an update with you all.

a unique sauna as you can swim in a shallow spring fed pool (that used to house seals) or filtered ice baths. Excellent space.

located in BS4 2 saunas, 2 plunge troughs, cold showers, and indoor changing. This site offers 75-minute sessions for a bit more relaxation.

has started work towards making this sauna permanent. A larger wood fired sauna, with 2 plunges, cold showers, and covered changing. We need to revisit as a lot has been upgraded since our last visit.

Great for cold water swimmers or dippers, wood fired, dual sided sauna with a simple setup, but great place to visit. New location also in Easton we need to check out!

sits inside great views, sauna, 2 plunge pools, shower, and covered changing. Hear they are in the midst of a glow up so can't wait to visit in the new year for that!

is located in BS8 at Leigh Court, a beautiful site, excellent for an evening session. 2 wood fired saunas, 2 plunge pods, a large trough plunge, shower, indoor changing, and a fire pit.

is a bit different from the rest, but it's great for those looking for a bit more. Cold swim pool, sauna, steam room, and whirpool are all options.

Saunas are a great way to relax, meet up with friends, or a great option for a large group hire, as well.

We have plans for two more cold swimming focused locations as well with hopes to visit and But if you know of other saunas or cold water swimming locations pass them on, we would love to share.

Hello everyone we are back!!

Sharing workshops, events, sellers and markets. I can not wait to share some of the fantastic events and things we have done while away and the things we have coming up soon as well. Celebrating all the great independents of Bristol with you all.

There will be changes however....

The reality is independents are struggling. That includes this page. I was forced to put my focus into my other work to pay the bills and I had to let go of the huge amounts of free work I was putting into this page. The regular listing of events will not be returning sadly. Though we will fill the Stories with community events as we see them.

Being away made me disengage slowly, sadly from the community I was growing to really enjoy, so I have decided to return. I have decided to run this page a bit more like a personal blog. I will share events we visit, we will look at a small number of PR and collaborations that fit, but over all the page will take a bit of a slower pace. While still sticking to the focus of Bristol independents.

I really look forward to seeing so many of your faces and amazing events and stalls soon.

23 May at 6 pm we are hosting a life drawing course! which is a short walk from Bristol Temple Meads and Old Market.

This will be an untutored session with as our host. Our model will be posing with snakes from a Welsh snake rescue run by .

This session will offer a wonderful chance to draw live animals alongside a professional model. The session will suit experienced artists as well as those who want to try it out for the first time.

Come draw real live snakes and a model with us as we visit how the female form and snakes have been viewed in art from classical to modern times.

will be bringing in two of her amazing rescue babies for us to draw

18+ please due to the nature of this event.

Note:
We are drawing real snakes. Please avoid this event if you have a phobia.
The snakes will not be available for patting or holding. Attendees must listen to the handlers and host for the safety of all those in attendance, including the animals themselves.

is doing their Open studios this weekend and that also conicides perfectly with Saturdays a great excuse to head out to Bedminster.
