🖋 Some of the nicest Beatles autographs we've seen...

This incredible postcard was signed by The Fab Four on June 4th 1963 at Birmingham Town Hall. Obtained by Rose Moulder who was working for Birmingham Council's catering services at the time, and it was her job to keep the band fed!

This 'fab' set of signatures is estimated to sell for over £3,000.

But Rose didn't just get to meet The Beatles. Her incredible autograph collection includes The Rolling Stones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and Bob Dylan to name just a few!

Her entire collection can be found in the catalogue, which is now live on our website. 🔗 Link in bio.

🌹 After the gavel...

The poignant sheet of WW1 dried poppies plucked from the La Bassee trenches in 1915, sold in our auction last week for £520. We thought that was the end of their story....

We're beyond thrilled that they were purchased by The Poppy Of Honour Memorial Group, who have plans to mount and display them for public viewing.

Once ready, the display will be loaned to several large museums across the country in order that the poppies' story, and that of the unknown soldier who picked them, can be shared far and wide for generations to come.

The most fitting of homes for something so special.

⚱️Introducing the Michael Till Troika collection 🫖

It all started on a rainy day in 1976. Michael, a Concorde engineer, was holidaying near Penzance with his young family. A planned helicopter trip to the Scilly Isles had to be cancelled due to the inclement weather and was quickly replaced by a day trip to Newlyn. It was while wandering the streets that Michael came across the home of Troika. On this rainy day, he found artist Leslie Illsley busy at work. Drawing on his inimitably gruff approach to promoting his work, Illsley encouraged Michael to invest in it. As Michael later recalled, his sales pitch was characteristically direct: “You should buy some now, as the f****** prices will go up after I've kicked the bucket!” Illsley's wife promptly reprimanded him for his choice of language in front of the children. So, Michael left the studio with the first two pieces of his new collection.

Over the next 40 years, Michael's collection of Troika grew to more than 60 pieces, as he travelled the country visiting other private collectors, auction houses and antique fairs. He sadly passed away in early 2026.

We're honoured to be offering Michael's collection in a special one-off LIVE auction on Thursday 8th October at our Bath saleroom.

Its a really special collection, and includes some rare pieces.
