This Friday will see the launch of the 69th Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett, the FAI long-distance world championship for gas balloon pilots, take place from Gladbeck, Germany.

The "Gordon Bennett", is the oldest and most prestigious event in aviation and the ultimate challenge for pilots. The aim being to cover the greatest distance to the launch site without stopping.

The international competition was initiated by James Gordon Bennett Jr. in 1906, when 16 gas balloons took off from the Jardin de Tuileries in Paris.

We'd like to wish all the teams great flights and look forward to seeing the teams progress.

👋 Have you met... Jess? That's me. I'm the voice behind Cameron Balloons' marketing and social media but today is my last day!

🙏 I just wanted to thank you for all the likes, shares, comments and joy over the past three and a half years. It's been lovely to 'meet' you all.

🎈 And just like that, we're all packed away for another year…

After three very busy days at Ashton Court, we’ve returned to the factory after a brilliant time at the 48th Bristol International Balloon Fiesta!

We took to the skies in all five possible flying slots across the weekend, making the most of some fantastic conditions. ☀️

Memories were made with our families, friends and customers, both in the air and on the ground, while no less than ten new Cameron balloons made their Bristol Fiesta debuts, taking their place among the tens of thousands of balloons we’ve built here over the decades.

We’ll be taking you behind the scenes at the factory throughout this week to show you how a couple of those new balloons came to life. 👀🏭
