Putting yourself under too much pressure in business is never a good thing.
It leads to:
- Over thinking
- Rushed decisions
- Trying to do too much at once
- Overwhelm
- Dissatisfaction
- Failure to move forwards
However no real pressure to move forwards leads to:
- Lethargy
- A lack of ambition
- Poor action
- Not maximising your time effectively
- An ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’ mentality
- Failire to move forwards
For me it’s about striking a balance. Creating what I like to call a ‘healthy pressure’ which is enough to make you feel like you need to get stuff done but not too much to overwhelm you and feel like the task is completely unachievable.
Quite often however we aren’t aware that we need to place this healthy pressure upon ourselves and often blame other factors as to why we are not moving forwards.
This is one of the things I help my personal trainers with on my mentorship program.
We work through the program, but in a bespoke manner specific to their business.
We highlight the biggest issues that are having the biggest effect on their business and then create some healthy pressure and accountability to get things created and put into action!
This stops people moving off topic and keeps the pace of progress at a level that is very satisfying!
Who needs some healthy pressure and clarity to get the stuff done they promised themselves they would do a long time ago?
