We offer a great package of affordable rents, extremely flexible terms and high quality management services to licensees in all our properties. This is a great opportunity for small businesses to be part of a wider business community sharing great facilities, giving access to resources, advice and networking events through our hub at Easton Business Centre. We are a not for profit social enterprise which reinvests its income into promoting its social aims of improving the economic wealth and vitality of disadvantaged communities through supporting enterprise. Wherever possible we use local suppliers, many are actually our own licensees and through our events programme we promote networking opportunities with the wider business community. Bristol Spaceworks was officially launched in 2010 from a merger of two not for profit social enterprises operating in Bristol's inner city east side, East Bristol Enterprise and Bristol East Side Traders (BEST). Yesterday we hosted a Dr Bike session on site (run by Taylored Cycles) giving our customers a free 30-minute bike check-up with a professional mechanic, covering adjustments and small fixes 🚴

A minor issue like brakes, gears or tyre pressure can be enough to put people off cycling. This session was about making it easier for people to travel to work in a healthier, more sustainable way.

We've got a great group of cyclists across our buildings, so the timing felt right heading into summer!

Thanks to Bristol City Council for supporting the session, and to Taylored Cycles for coming in.

We're excited to welcome some new faces across our spaces this month!

🍝 Bianchis are well known across Bristol for their amazing restaurants and catering. They're now establishing a food supply operation across the city, running it from their new hub with us.

🧵 Nina Redman Pattern Cutting is a freelance pattern cutter and digital garment developer, working with independent fashion brands across the UK from her studio here.

🎨 Martha Lamont is an artist whose work explores introspection, working between abstraction and figuration. She also teaches studio art classes for adults and children.

⚙️ And Seth Nabarro joins us as a machine learning researcher, based here in Bristol.

In focus with Bristol's Handyman Team 🔧

Hosein started Bristol's Handyman Team inspired by his father, who worked as a handyman. He built the business from the ground up, and what began as residential odd jobs has grown into a trusted maintenance service for homes and businesses across the city, including us.

We're proud to have BHT as part of our community and to count them as a long-standing supplier.

Step inside The Old Schoolhouse 🏫

Our creative studios in Barton Hill, originally built as a primary school and now home to a bustling community of artists, makers and start-ups.

The building has been converted into 25 workspaces, ranging from compact studios to larger creative spaces. Lots of natural light throughout, which is exactly what you want when you're working with materials 🎨

From planned maintenance and regular building checks, to those day-to-day issues that inevitably crop up, our team works hard to make sure things get resolved quickly.

Patrick, our Maintenance Supervisor, is often the person making that happen. Constantly moving between our buildings, responding to requests, and helping keep our spaces safe, secure, and running smoothly.

As a not-for-profit, we reinvest back into our buildings, our services, and the businesses using our spaces.

Our business centre in the heart of St Philip's, Grade II listed and built in the 19th century as a public library for the local community.

It's been carefully refurbished into a genuinely characterful place to work, retaining its half-timbered ceiling, decorated leaded windows, and classical arches.
