Many advertisers will be scared that with less targeting options, and the GDPR arriving at the same time, advertising will be much harder and expensive.

The opposite is the truth! By following GDPR guidelines and advertising the way Facebook wants us to, the expert advertisers will generate much higher quality leads and new customers. And the bad advertisers who cut corners will be left behind. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Never trust a cook that doesn't eat their own food...

Since starting my digital marketing business I have mainly utilised my network, referrals, cold calling, door to door sales, cold emailing, and LinkedIn networking to find clients.

I didn't have the budget for paid advertising at the start, so didn't do it. Which is ironic as that is what I specialise in.

I thought to myself how can I confidently sell paid advertising when I don't even use it myself? So I budgeted a small sum of ยฃ60 to get a client through Facebook advertising.

I generated 4 strategy calls from the Facebook ad I created, which have now converted into one paying client and one client in the process of on-boarding.

In financial terms I've made a 750% ROI so far (first client), projected to reach a 3870% ROI by the end of November (second client).

That's far more profitable than the time I would spend acquiring clients through traditional methods such as cold calls, door to door, etc. Let alone hiring a salesperson.

Moral of the story - scale back the traditional sales, scale up digital. Who wants to cold call anyway?

TIP: Don't be intimidated by Facebook Ads - the success of your ads is 90% down to how appealing your offer is... so CUSTOMER RESEARCH is vital!

You gotta know your ideal customer's pain points, obstacles, desires and goals and offer something that appeals to those. Do that and you'll never stop getting new leads.
