To tackle previous overheating issues, we used a heat reflective film which acted as a privacy screen too, helping regulate temperature while still allowing soft, diffused light to flow through. The result? A kitchen that’s not only stylish, but comfortable year round.

Some roles sit open for weeks… others for months… and then there are the ones that quietly sit there for years.

This was one of those.

In the client's own words, the position had "felt like it would be impossible" to fill. They'd been searching for nearly 2 years, had already worked with a specialist recruiter over that time, and still hadn't found the right person.

They asked if I'd take a look.

Honestly, it wasn't a role I'd worked on before, and I'll admit I didn't even know this type of job existed when it first came across my desk. But that's often where the interesting work begins.

We stripped it right back. Looked at it differently. Challenged what "ideal" really meant. Opened up new angles and possibilities. And most importantly, stayed in close communication throughout so nothing was lost in translation.

Fast forward a few months, and we've now sourced a candidate who will be starting with them soon.

It's a good reminder that sometimes it's not about having filled the role before, it's about understanding what's actually needed, doing the research, and staying consistent until the right solution appears.

A great result all round, and a genuinely interesting one to work on.
