Not saying parents are counting down… but some may have had 26 August circled since July. 📅😂

Soon, the school bags, packed lunches and mysteriously missing PE kits will be back in circulation.

For anyone working from home, that may also mean:

📞 Fewer interrupted calls
💻 Teams meetings without surprise guest appearances
☕ A cup of coffee that’s still warm when you finish it

There’s a useful business feature behind the joke too.

Tawk UC integrates with Microsoft Teams, allowing colleagues to see within the phone platform whether someone is busy on a telephone call or a Teams call.

At administrator level, it can also record the Teams sessions users attend, giving businesses clearer visibility across their communications activity.

Better awareness, fewer interruptions and fewer “sorry, I didn’t realise you were in a meeting” moments.

Good luck to everyone heading back to school soon. And to the parents… enjoy the uninterrupted conversations while they last. 😄

A new phone system shouldn’t become your next project.

There’s always a short learning curve when a business changes its phone system.

But that doesn’t mean your team should be left with a box of phones, a basic setup and a call-centre number to work everything else out for themselves.

With some large providers, the phones arrive and the system is technically “live”, but it may not be configured around how your business actually handles calls.

That can leave you trying to work out:

📞 How to transfer calls properly
🕒 How opening hours and out-of-hours messages work
👥 How calls should reach different teams
🎙️ What customers hear while they wait
⚙️ How to change settings in the online portal
📱 How desk phones and mobile apps work together

At Tawk, we take the time to understand how you want your phone system to operate.

We configure it around your business, help your team understand the important features and make sure your customers hear the right message at the right time.

✅ Properly configured
✅ Clearly explained
✅ Supported by people who know your business

A new phone system should make communication easier, not give you another system to build yourself.

Thinking about changing provider? Send us a message and we’ll explain what a properly supported switch should look like.

🌐 Want to switch business broadband, but worried about the hassle?

We get it.

Changing broadband provider can feel like a headache, especially if your current setup already works.

That’s why we offer Easy Switching, where available.

With Easy Switching, your broadband can often move across without replacing your router or reconfiguring your network.

That means:

✅ Minimal customer downtime
✅ No engineer visit
✅ No new hardware
✅ No router reconfiguration
✅ No PPPoE changes
✅ Keep your existing router
✅ Keep your Wi-Fi, printers, VPNs and devices as they are

Your service moves across, and your business carries on working.

🤖 AI can be brilliant.

But nobody wants a phone system that makes customers shout:

“Can I just speak to someone?”

With the right setup, AI can help with call transcription, call summaries, routing, analytics and customer service.

The key is making it useful, not frustrating.

At Tawk, we help businesses get the right phone system in place, with smart features and real support from real people.

Useful automation. Real support. Properly set up.

🚨 Worcestershire & West Midlands businesses

Still using ISDN, analogue lines or an older office phone system?

The old UK phone network is being switched off in January 2027, which is now less than 7 months away. If your business still uses traditional lines, now is a good time to review your setup and plan the move to a modern hosted phone system.

A hosted phone system works over your internet connection, with no expensive phone system hardware to buy, lease or maintain. It’s flexible, scalable and can be set up around the way your team works.

Options can include:

✅ Desk phones, mobile apps and desktop softphones
✅ HD voice quality
✅ Hunt groups, call routing and call queuing
✅ IVR / auto-attendant menus
✅ Professional audio messages
✅ Group voicemail and voicemail to email
✅ Call recording, call analytics and reporting
✅ AI call transcription and AI-ready features

We can also check whether full fibre broadband is available at your business address and, where suitable, provide your broadband and phone system together.

As a Bromsgrove-based, family-run business, we’re not a faceless provider. We’re hands-on, local and happy to come out to your business to understand what you have now and talk through the right options.

First step: send us your business postcode and we’ll check what’s available.

No pressure. No jargon. Just clear advice.

☕ Friday telecoms jargon nobody asked for…

PSTN. ISDN. SIP. VoIP. FTTP. SoGEA. UCaaS.

Telecoms does love an acronym.

Most businesses don’t really want a technical lesson. They just want:

✅ Reliable broadband
✅ Clear phone calls
✅ Mobiles that work
✅ Customers getting through
✅ Support from people who explain things properly

That’s how we try to do things at Tawk.

Plain English first. Technical detail only when it actually helps.

If telecoms jargon makes your eyes glaze over, comment JARGON below or message us on WhatsApp. We’ll keep it simple.

Have a good Friday, Worcestershire and West Midlands businesses.

📱 One mobile estate. Every network. Complete control.

Why put every user on the same network when your team works in different locations?

With Tawk Business Mobile, you can mix and match EE, O2, Vodafone and Three across your business, giving each user the best-fit network for where they work and travel most.

Everything is still managed together through one supplier, one monthly invoice and one easy-to-use management portal.

You can:

✅ View live usage across all connections
✅ Set usage and spend alerts
✅ Apply bars and controls
✅ Run detailed reports
✅ Add employee names to each number and bill
✅ Update user details as your team changes
✅ Keep all networks together on one invoice
.. and much more

It gives your admin team far better visibility, makes billing easier to understand and gives you much more control over your mobile estate.

Business mobile should fit your people, not force everyone onto the same network.
