There are over 12.5 million Premier League Fantasy Football managers in the world. Our band of merry managers account for 7 of them. ⚽️

Our league winner this year was the ‘cleaner’ again who has won back to back to back leagues with us. She was in the top 220000 managers globally and this season, she learned even what a penalty is. A great achievement.

Our cup winner and manager of the year was Ben.

There’s no losers @ FAL, just fun, banter and the prizes we come away with for our managerial efforts.

Box of cakes.

A delivery driver arrived at FAL this week saying how much he liked dropping stuff off to us as he was always greatly received. He told us stories of people not saying thank you and being rude to him for just doing his job.

I said we have had folk collect propellers from us that no one in the U.K. could do and we barely get a kind word. It’s the world we live in now.

FAL are always appreciative of every job that arrives in our workshop and we do them to a high standard as quickly as we can. This weeks photos show loads of nozzle propellers in various states.

One of these propeller’s owners was so appreciative of us doing his propeller in quick time he left a big box of cakes for the lads. Things like this make doing jobs worthwhile when sometimes a thank you is all you need to feel appreciated.

Squeaky bum time!!!

It’s squeaky bum time with the FAL premier fantasy league with the cleaner taking everyone to the cleaners again - however there’s still the cup to fight for!!!!!

Many of our customers have squeaky bums worrying about (a) can we do their badly damaged propeller, and (b) when can we do it?

On Thursday at nearly closing time a gentleman who had travelled 6 hours arrived worried about the above, but no fear before close of play today his propeller was done and ready to go. A wee bonus he got to stay the night in bonnie Moray too.

“The skipper and the problems”.

The recurring theme this week has been “are you going to the skipper expo this week”, but unfortunately there are too many propeller problems and if FAL closes to go the problems pile up.

The favourite job this year has been these two propellers. These were sent to us from the owner of a twin screw tug that had “problems”. These were serviced elsewhere and were giving the vessel issues and he wondered if we would give the propellers a look over and advise on a course of action.

After checking the propellers and asking the customer for detailed information about the issues we set about getting the propellers reset and balanced. They are certainly looking a lot better now.

Rumour has it a vessel has steams 4 full days to be closer to FAL to see if we can sort out his propeller problem.

A couple of old sea dogs came to visit us this week and it was great to see them. They told a story of someone asking “do you think FAL are busy”? Check out this weeks busy schedule and with only 4 days left until our already very busy month of May approaches we hope you have your booking in!

That’s the long weekend done and the bonny days have arrived in Buckie along with plenty propellers in all shapes and sizes arriving at FAL.

NEEDS MUST!!

13 weeks is the longest FAL are open without a break or holiday. Now after nearly 110 propeller repairs and over 60 new propellers done in the last 3 months we are having a couple of well earned days away.

The last photo shows a “needs must” repair and people still think we can’t do the impossible!

We’ll be back on Tuesday 7 April. Happy Easter to you all.

Some lovely customer feedback.

“Emma, just to say thanks for the amazingly quick delivery of the propeller. Royal Mail as well, getting it from one end of the country to the other in 24 hours. It arrived at 10:00 today.

Just for your information, you are the only propeller source that could supply from stock or within an acceptable timescale. One quoted 3 months, a quarter of a year, others 6/8 weeks. I found you through AI”.
