Yesterday, handsome assistant manager Sully went for a trip to the vets because he’d been showing some slight signs of discomfort on his back leg.
After being put under, bloods taken and X-rays completed we found he has Spondylosis of the Lumbar… our boy has arthritis of the spine!!
This is a really common condition for farm collies (which Sully boy is part collie), however we have found it quite early, so the poor boy will now be signed up to physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and canine massage in the future, to help manage his condition.
Hopefully this diagnosis will not change Sullys life style at all. Finding out what’s going on is so important, this way we can do everything in our power to make him feel comfortable, fit, strong and happy!
