Heading to BVA Live this week? Come and grab a free chat with me. 😀

It’s that time again - my trusty veterinary conference lanyard getting it’s next outing in Birmingham for BVA Live.

If you’re feeling a bit stuck or lost in your role or career at the moment, or equally if you’re a leader and changemaker looking to deepen your impact in the profession I’d love to chat and see how I can support you.

I’ve opened up my calendar for a few slots each day Thurs and Fri this week for meeting IRL rather than over Zoom if you are at BVA Live.

If you fancy an informal free in-person chat, grab a 30-min slot and then I’ll message you so we can find a place at the venue to grab a cuppa and a seat. ☕️🩷

Look forward to seeing you there!! 🤩

(NB: If you’re not at BVA Live but fancy a Zoom chat another time, you can use my regular free Exploration Call chat link on the Contact page of my website www.vetharmony.co.uk )

I’m LOVING being back running my live Vet Harmony group coaching sessions again!

I’d taken a break from offering a program with any group coaching elements for the last couple of years while being involved in other exciting ventures but I’ve just brought one BACK and it’s reminding me beautifully of how important connection and community are, and how much so many of us need this right now.

Last night in our session we talked through the power of journalling, sharing our experiences of it along with various tools and techniques.

We covered how to navigate and survive a prolonged toxic-boss situation.

We talked about self-compassion and self-kindness and how hard it can be to apply, sharing resources and what’s worked for different group members.

Shared experiences emerged of managing the sometimes seemingly impossible juggle of either multiple hats/roles or tasks we often have.

As did the mindset patterns and negative thought styles that can crop up as we navigate our situations, with some useful sharing from a CBT perspective and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens to help with catching these and reframing them, plus knowing when additional support would be beneficial.

As a coach and mentor leading these sessions, I am not there with some sort of magic wand, trying to ‘fix’ things, and often there isn’t always an immediate full solution to what comes into the shared coaching space, although we do work towards finding at least one action to take each week to move you forwards.

Instead, what I love about my role in these sessions is purely the joy of facilitating the discussions, hearing the shared hive-mind wisdom and sometimes just being present to witness and normalise what’s going on for a member, and help them know they are not alone.

I also love that there are usually animals present in most of my group coaching sessions. 😂🐾

Usually these are my member’s own pets, however last night’s session featured a baby Tawny Owl photographed earlier in the day spotted on a walk around a member’s farm! 🦉

The best part of last night though?

Hearing one of my lovely members share that they love coming to these sessions as they feel a sense of relief, and have a space where they can feel safe, seen and heard.

Feedback like that is why I feel like I have the best job in the world! ❤️

Fancy coming to join us?

If you’d like to find out more about what I do and who I work in my work helping veterinary professionals to find their happy place, check out my Work With Me page - these sessions are part of the Career Compass Collective™️, which is running at a lower-cost beta offer price until mid-July. ✨

🌿 You might have noticed I’ve been quiet on here the last few months. This is because I’ve been needing to do the very work I help others with – sorting out my own career alignment.
Juggling Vet Harmony, VetLed, Lilypod, parenting and perimenopause left me in a plate-spinning dilemma as there have been a lot of plates on the go but I love them all!!
Well ok.. maybe not the hormonal rollercoaster so much…. 😉 But I’m learning to surf the waves. 🏄🏽‍♀️
I’ve finally figured out my next steps and I’m sharing the story behind that, plus a Spring coaching offer valid until 31st March if you get in quick, in my latest blog post.
If your own vet career mojo is feeling a little off or out of balance, this might be just the read you need today, especially if you feel you are doing your own version of the too-many-plates juggle!! 🤯 💕

Why I’ve Been Quiet You may have noticed I’ve been quiet lately on the blog front. This is because I’ve been needing to figure out my own next career alignment steps – ironically the same work I help my clients to do. For the past two years, I’ve been juggling working with VetLed deliverin...
