I’m LOVING being back running my live Vet Harmony group coaching sessions again!
I’d taken a break from offering a program with any group coaching elements for the last couple of years while being involved in other exciting ventures but I’ve just brought one BACK and it’s reminding me beautifully of how important connection and community are, and how much so many of us need this right now.
Last night in our session we talked through the power of journalling, sharing our experiences of it along with various tools and techniques.
We covered how to navigate and survive a prolonged toxic-boss situation.
We talked about self-compassion and self-kindness and how hard it can be to apply, sharing resources and what’s worked for different group members.
Shared experiences emerged of managing the sometimes seemingly impossible juggle of either multiple hats/roles or tasks we often have.
As did the mindset patterns and negative thought styles that can crop up as we navigate our situations, with some useful sharing from a CBT perspective and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens to help with catching these and reframing them, plus knowing when additional support would be beneficial.
As a coach and mentor leading these sessions, I am not there with some sort of magic wand, trying to ‘fix’ things, and often there isn’t always an immediate full solution to what comes into the shared coaching space, although we do work towards finding at least one action to take each week to move you forwards.
Instead, what I love about my role in these sessions is purely the joy of facilitating the discussions, hearing the shared hive-mind wisdom and sometimes just being present to witness and normalise what’s going on for a member, and help them know they are not alone.
I also love that there are usually animals present in most of my group coaching sessions. 😂🐾
Usually these are my member’s own pets, however last night’s session featured a baby Tawny Owl photographed earlier in the day spotted on a walk around a member’s farm! 🦉
The best part of last night though?
Hearing one of my lovely members share that they love coming to these sessions as they feel a sense of relief, and have a space where they can feel safe, seen and heard.
Feedback like that is why I feel like I have the best job in the world! ❤️
Fancy coming to join us?
