After 35 years it’s finally time for Kevin & Mandy to retire from CVS it has been an incredible journey that we have both throughly enjoyed. We have worked with and met some fantastic people and made many friends along the way. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us on our journey.
For us it’s the start of the next chapter which we are very much looking forward to I am sure there will be lots of adventures on the way!
On Thursdays evening we celebrated in style with the CVS team, family and friends … long service used to be marked with a carriage clock or maybe a watch we received a unique and very special gift a Gold Henry signed by the CVS team ❤️🥂🍾

Back then, they could never have imagined the successful company CVS would become today.

We Are Actively Recruiting a New

SERVICE ENGINEER

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our team at CVS. This role is perfect for a proactive individual with strong technical abilities and excellent communication skills.

As a Service Engineer, you’ll be the face of CVS in the field, delivering exceptional customer service and technical support. You’ll work across Devon and Cornwall visiting customer sites servicing and repairing a wide range of cleaning equipment, the role is very varied as no two days are the same. The equipment you will work on ranges from small mains operated vacuums to large Ride-on Battery Scrubber Driers and Sweepers, you will also be trained to look after some pressure washers. Our website will give you a good overview of the types of equipment we supply and an overview of CVS.

Qualifications & Skills

✔️ Experience as a Service Engineer or Motor vehicle technician or similar role (preferred).
✔️ Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
✔️ Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word).
✔️ Excellent problem-solving & critical-thinking skills under pressure.
✔️ Strong communication skills for customer & team interactions.
✔️ Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
✔️ Full UK driving licence (required)

Key Responsibilities

🔧 Conduct Servicing and Repairs to Cleaning Equipment on customer sites.
🔍 On some occasions you will be in our workshop carrying out Larger repairs and Refurbishments.
🛠️ Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
📊 Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, van stock, and customer interactions.
🤝 Collaborate with the engineering team to give feedback on product performance.
⚠️ Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
📢 Maintain clear communication with both customers and the service team.

We provide everything you need to succeed, including:
📱 Laptop & mobile phone
👕 Uniform & PPE
🚗 Company vehicle & fuel card

💰 Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per year (DOE)
📄 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
⏳ Hours: 42.5 hours per week
⏰ Schedule: Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17.00
🏖️ 33 days Holiday per Year (including Bank Holidays)

Great to be supporting them with site surveying, recommendations, demonstrations, training, and aftercare, all part of the CVS service.
Helping teams across the South West clean faster, greener, safer, and better is what we do best! 💚✨

We've invested in some new floor cleaning equipment for our Cleaning Team that will help us become more efficient and save hundreds of pounds each year.

Thanks to the new tools, vinyl flooring left in empty properties that might previously have had to be discarded can now be saved and brought back up to a high standard.
