Today's video shows you a neat little trick in Adobe Photoshop – Generative Fill. Ordinarily this process would start with a PowerPoint document, upscaling an image then saving that out to your desktop before opening it it Photoshop to retouch. I hope you find this helpful and/or interesting.

Today's South African flower is the King Protea. It has been South Africa's national flower since 1976, famous for bearing the largest flower head in the Protea family. The outer ring of petals on the king protea resembles a crown, which befits its name. A symbol of the king protea is represented on South Africa's coat of arms and appears on birth certificates, passports and currency. They are hardy, able to survive in poor, acidic, and nutrient-deficient soil.

Today's South African flower is the Bougainvillea. Fun fact – snakes friggin' love this plant! It provides much needed shade for those cold-blooded creatures. We had the Snake Board round our house, growing up, to remove a Boom Slang (super poisenous!!) They thrive in the hotter, frost-free regions of South Africa. Requiring full sun, they're commonly found in coastal areas like Durban.

In celebration of the show I'm sharing a photo some indigenous South African flowers.

Today is the Bird of Paradise. They grow wild, primarily in the subtropical coastal bush and thickets of South Africa, in Kwazulu Natal where I grew up. They typically reach 1 – 1.5 meters (3 to 5 feet) in height and thrive in full sunlight.
