Hi everyone! 💛

We’d love your feedback and ideas!

We’re thinking about creating something fun that people right across the UK can take part in to celebrate and raise awareness of the Chatty Cafe Scheme.

Imagine maybe a week dedicated to all things chatty, bringing people together, encouraging conversation, educating venues / volunteers and spreading the word about what we do.

Some ideas could be:
💛 Wear yellow to show your support
🍰 Bring yellow cakes or treats to your Chatty venue
☕ Host extra chats and activities
💸 Possible fundraising opportunities
📸 Share photos and stories from your local groups
🗣 Encourage others to start conversations

But this is about all of us, and we’d love to hear your ideas too!

Loneliness begins to lose its power the moment we reach out 💛

A conversation.
A smile.
A simple “how are you?”

These small moments can change someone’s entire day.

At the Chatty Cafe Scheme, we see every single day how connection helps people feel seen, valued and included again. Friendships are formed, confidence grows, and strangers become familiar faces around the table ☕🗣️

Loneliness isn’t always about being alone — sometimes it’s about feeling disconnected.

That’s why creating welcoming spaces, embracing others and simply taking time to chat matters so much.

Together, through kindness, conversation and community, we really can help defeat loneliness across the UK 💛
