What's the best thing you've read, watched or listened to recently?

I'm currently enjoying And So I Roar by Abi Daré Author and, as someone who loves reading, I'm always on the lookout for a good book, an interesting podcast or a series that's actually worth the hype.

It's Friday and we've finally got some proper summer weather here in Suffolk – it's 30°C already and I'm definitely not complaining!

After a busy week, I'll be making the most of it this weekend. Sitting in the garden with a cold drink, getting out for a walk and just enjoying not having to be anywhere in particular; I'm ready for it.

I hope you've all had a good week and can carve out a bit of time for yourselves over the next couple of days too.

Whatever you're up to this weekend, I hope it's a good one. 😊

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

For me, it's catching up on my life admin. Sometimes taking care of clients' needs means yours gets pushed back a bit, but I'll be working on mine tomorrow to keep myself on track.

Take 10–15 minutes to look at your upcoming meetings.

👉 Does every meeting actually need to be a meeting?
Could it be shorter? An email instead?
Or something you don’t need to be in at all?

Meetings have a habit of filling space in the diary and before you know it, half your day is gone.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day 🤩

As someone who sits in both worlds, as a VA in my own business and an Office Administrator in my employed role, I just wanted to take a moment to celebrate the people who keep everything ticking along (often without much noise about it).

This role isn’t always glamorous. It’s the inbox clearing, the diary juggling, the quiet problem-solving, the remembering of all the little things that others don’t even realise need doing. It’s being the steady pair of hands behind the scenes.

It matters much more than most realise.

To everyone in admin, support, PA, VA and all the in-between roles. The ones who organise, anticipate, support and simply get things DONE: you are the backbone of so many businesses.

We are all rockstars.
