As part of JD Groups' acknowledgement of Ramadan, we have provided dates for Iftar for colleagues to break their fast. ☪️

At our Distribution Centre, we've created a purpose built multi-faith prayer room for colleagues to use during their shifts.

Supervisor Sundus, who was involved in the planning, said, "I'm delighted to have a dedicated area for reflection, especially during the month of Ramadan. This provides a space where we colleagues can pray in a welcoming environment during fasting allowing colleagues to feel appreciated and valued. I am extremely thankful to JD for their effort and time in building the reflection room." 🗣️

Congratulations to Cohorts 3 and 4 on their graduation from the Aspire Programme! 🎓

Cohort 3, Programme Coach Samantha Robinson, "it was refreshing to hear how much the programme supported the graduates' development. The sessions on Building Resilience and Time Management provided the best engagement, and it was great to listen to each graduate's strategies." 🗣️

On Graduation day, the delegates prepared a presentation for programme coaches and other members of the People Development team, highlighting their takeaways from the programme.

Cohort 4, Programme Coach Bianka R. "it was fascinating to hear the learnings and see diverse cultural examples in presentations from our UK based and International colleagues, who attended virtually. The sessions and modules provided great feedback and it was a privilege to work with my team and cohorts to help them develop their JD journey." 🗣️

Recently, The JD Foundation & Diane Modahl Sports Foundation (DMSF), alongside JD Group colleagues, hosted the "Building The Future" Careers Fair at Cedar Mount Academy in Greater Manchester.

Colleagues ran various hands-on workshops with young people in Visual Merchandising, Videography, Photography, Social and Editing, with prizes awarded to students who outperformed.

The aim of this event is to engage young people with practical-based exercises that provided insight into different industries and raise their career expectations.
