💚 Supporting Our Local Communities This Summer 💚

At Green Grant Installs, we’re proud to give back to the communities we work within as part of our ongoing partnership with Progress Housing Group.

As a contractor working with Progress Housing Group, we’re delighted to have donated £2,250 to support nine local foodbanks, community hubs and community shops across their communities during the summer holidays. ☀️🥫

We know the school holidays can bring additional financial pressures for many families, with foodbanks often seeing an increase in demand at this time of year. We hope our donation can help provide some much-needed support to local families when they need it most.

A huge thank you to Progress Housing Group for helping coordinate this initiative, and to all the incredible staff and volunteers at The Base on Broadfield, Wade Hall Community Association, Penwortham Food Bank, The Fylde Food Community Hub, New Day Church Food Hub in Lostock Hall, Leyland Food Bank, Wesley’s Community Cafe & Larder and Christian Community Larder, as well as everyone involved across the nine locations. 💚

We’re incredibly proud to deliver meaningful social value alongside our contract with Progress Housing Group, ensuring the work we do goes beyond improving homes and also makes a positive difference within the wider community.

🎾 We’re incredibly proud to have supported this fantastic initiative!

At Green Grant Installs, we believe in giving back to the communities we work in, so being able to help nearly 1,000 local children experience tennis for free has been a privilege.

Seeing young people get active, build confidence, learn new skills and simply enjoy themselves is exactly why projects like this matter. A huge well done to everyone involved for making the first year such a success, and thank you for allowing us to be part of it.

We can’t wait to see the project grow even bigger next year and inspire even more children across our local schools. 💚🎾

We’re incredibly proud to be working alongside Progress Housing Group on the Warm Homes project at South Hey. 💚🏡

It’s fantastic to see the work progressing so positively, with energy-efficient windows, air source heat pumps, solar PV panels and upgraded cavity wall insulation helping to create warmer, more comfortable and energy-efficient homes for residents.

Our Tenant Liaison Officers are working closely with tenants throughout the project, keeping everyone informed and helping to minimise disruption. We’re also delighted to support the local Chatterbox Club, providing residents with a welcoming space while the works are underway.

Retrofit is about so much more than improving properties—it’s about supporting people, strengthening communities and creating lasting benefits for residents.

A brilliant project and a partnership we’re very proud to be part of!

Greater Manchester schools can now apply for a new round of Eco Grants for Schools funding, supporting practical projects that help tackle climate change. Previous grants have funded initiatives including food growing, uniform swaps, upcycling and repair workshops.

If you're a parent, governor, PTA member or have links with a school, please help us share this opportunity.

Applications are open now and close at noon on Friday 31 July 2026. Please encourage schools to apply early, as the fund may close sooner if demand is high.

🏡 Another Successful Retrofit Transformation Completed by Green Grant Installs! 💚

We're proud to have completed this specialist refurbishment and retrofit project at Rockley House on behalf of Mosscare St Vincent's Housing Group.

Rockley House is an eight-bedroom, converted farmhouse that provides independent living for residents with additional needs, supported by the fantastic team at Stepping Stones. Our aim throughout the project was to improve the building's performance while creating a warmer, safer and more comfortable environment for everyone who calls it home.

The works included:
✅ Removal and replacement of failed External Wall Insulation (EWI)
✅ Roofline extensions to protect the new insulation system
✅ New gutters, downpipes, end caps, external lighting and letterboxes
✅ Cavity Wall Insulation installed to identified brickwork areas
✅ New render finish, carefully selected to complement the surrounding rural stone-built properties
✅ Installation of new fire doors
✅ Cellar ventilation improvements
✅ Internal Wall Insulation to the communal lounge bay window to help retain heat where residents regularly enjoy coffee mornings together
✅ Finishing touches including new blinds to complete the transformation

Projects like this are about so much more than improving a building—they're about improving the lives of the people who live there.

We were delighted to receive such wonderful feedback from the residents, the Scheme Manager, and the Mosscare St Vincent's Housing Group team, who praised the professionalism, communication and care shown by everyone involved throughout the project.

A huge thank you to our fantastic site team, including Gaz, Jordanne and all of our operatives, whose dedication and high standards helped make this project such a success. We couldn't be prouder of the difference they've made.
