The company perform a number of manufacturing processes that include compression moulding, blow moulding, injection moulding, rotational moulding, the manufacture of reflective sheeting, and processes which recycle a variety of waste plastics into new products. As with most progressive companies, we have a solid commitment to the environment. We recycle 10,000 tonnes of material in the manufacturing of our products. A great day at the 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆!

The event brought together local authorities, contractors, clients and supply chain partners to explore the technologies and innovations shaping the future of the highways sector.

From road safety and asset management through to decarbonisation and digital infrastructure, it was a valuable opportunity to see the latest developments across the industry and discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead.

The Melba team enjoyed showcasing our temporary traffic management solutions and catching up with industry partners from across the sector.

Today is 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

It is a chance to recognise the organisations, initiatives and individuals working to reduce environmental impact and build a more sustainable future.

At Melba Swintex, that responsibility starts with how we manufacture.

More than 90% of the products we manufacture are made from recycled material, and all of our products are recyclable at the end of their life.

Alongside our manufacturing processes, we have also supported woodland creation projects as part of our wider commitment to environmental responsibility across both our UK and international projects.

That support has contributed to:

- 15,625 trees planted
- 2,393 tonnes of CO₂ captured
- 14 hectares of new woodland created

As a UK manufacturer supplying traffic management products around the world, we recognise the importance of balancing growth, quality, and long-term environmental responsibility.

From 2–4 June at the NEC Birmingham, the event brings together manufacturers, engineers, suppliers and specialists from across the plastics sector to showcase the latest developments in materials, tooling and production.

This year, our focus will be on the Custom Moulding side of the business, including the latest work across our intrusion, injection and blow moulding capabilities.
