Resolution to grant planning permission ✅

Maybern attended Wyre Borough Council’s Planning Committee meeting this afternoon representing our client, Westchurch Homes.
Members of the committee voted to support the officer’s recommendation, which was to grant approval for a development of 79 homes in Stalmine 🏡

We look forward to assisting our client with the associated S106 agreement and planning conditions to facilitate a start on site in the near future!

The full description of development is the proposed demolition of existing structures and the er****on of 79no. affordable dwellings with access, parking, landscaping and associated works.

🏡 Planning Update – Burnley Road, Loveclough

Maybern Planning is pleased to be working with Highall Developments on proposals for 28 new affordable homes on Burnley Road, Loveclough.

The scheme follows pre-application consultation with the Local Authority earlier this year, helping to shape the proposals ahead of the formal planning process.

The development will provide much-needed affordable housing within the local area, supporting the ongoing delivery of homes across the Rossendale Borough.

We look forward to progressing the proposals with Highall Developments. 🏡

🏡 Planning Update – Clitheroe Road, Whalley

Maybern Planning is pleased to be working with Pringle Homes on proposals for 39 new homes on Clitheroe Road, Whalley.

The development will provide a mix of homes, with 30% of the properties proposed as affordable homes, helping to contribute towards local housing needs.

The proposals follow Pringle Homes’ other successful developments across the Ribble Valley Borough, including schemes at Langho and Chatburn, for which Maybern Planning also provided planning services.

Planning Success 🎾

Maybern Planning is delighted to have successfully secured planning permission for the change of use of the former Floors To Go building, located at the corner of Millet Street and Bolton Street in Bury town centre, to create a new Padel Court.

The proposal will bring a long-term vacant building back into active use, providing a new leisure facility within the town centre and making positive use of an existing building.

A great example of how initiative planning can help breathe new life into vacant town centre premises.

What a fantastic evening celebrating the 1st Anniversary of our Ramsbottom office! 🥂🎉

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support we’ve received over the past year and are excited for what the future holds.

📢 Bury Local Plan – Public Consultation Now Open

Bury counxil has now launched the Publication Bury Local Plan for public consultation.

Following the adoption of the Places for Everyone Joint Plan in March 2024, the Council is now inviting residents, businesses, landowners and other interested parties to comment on the proposed Local Plan before it progresses to the next stage.

🗓 Consultation Period:
17 July 2026 – 11 September 2026 (11:59pm)

The Local Plan will help shape future development across the borough, including housing, employment, infrastructure, transport, green spaces and environmental policies, making this an important opportunity for anyone with an interest in planning within Bury to have their say.
