Plaques & Signage Design Sales Estimator
Location: Dove Holes, Buxton
Full Time | Permanent
£27,000 - £33,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About Leander Architectural
Leander Architectural is a long-established UK manufacturer of bespoke plaques, signage, architectural metalwork, castings, and heritage products supplied throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Sales & Design Estimator.
This is a varied role combining customer communication, design, administration, and project coordination. It would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent written English, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
No two days are the same. One day you could be helping a local authority develop a wayfinding scheme, the next you could be preparing artwork for a commemorative plaque or supporting a major architectural project.
The Role
You will be responsible for helping customers turn ideas into finished products, supporting projects from initial enquiry through to production.
Typical duties include:
Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email
Preparing quotations and proposals (training provided)
Producing simple artwork and approval drawings using CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or similar software
Checking wording, spelling, grammar, and layout of plaques and signage
Managing customer communications and project updates
Maintaining records and opportunities within our HubSpot CRM system
Supporting handover of projects into production
Working closely with colleagues in design, manufacturing, and installation
What We're Looking For;
We are more interested in attitude and aptitude than a specific background.
You may come from administration, customer service, design, sales support, signage, print, publishing, marketing, or a similar environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong attention to detail
Good grammar, spelling, and proof-reading skills
Good organisational and communication skills
A positive and proactive attitude
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
The ability to manage several projects and enquiries at once
The following would be desirable skills, but are not essential:
Experience using CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or similar software
Experience preparing quotations or estimates
Experience in signage, print, manufacturing, or construction
Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot
Basic CAD knowledge
Full training will be provided.
