A little bit of a reintroduction from us here at Diego's! š
Originally from BogotĆ”, Colombia, in 1999, at the age of 29, married, and with two children, Juan Diego (6) and Diego Felipe (1), Diego made the life-changing decision to leave his banking job of 10 years to pursue a new path. Supported by his wife, friend, and partner in adventure, Lucia, he began studying culinary arts, following his dream and passion for gastronomy.
Soon after, Diego moved to Spain with his family, starting a new life, learning from renowned chefs, and earning several professional awards along the way.
In 2014, the family arrived in Wales. Surprised by the beauty of its landscapes and the warmth of its people, they quickly felt at home. Since then, Diego has worked in various kitchens across the region. In 2017, he launched a food van, touring campsites and food festivals throughout the LlÅ·n Peninsula and Anglesey. By 2020, he had opened a takeaway restaurant in Pwllheli, which was warmly welcomed by the local community. A second location in Criccieth soon followed.
Now, with the support and vision of the Allports family, Cegin Diegoās Kitchen is a year old in business, serving the best local tapas to the community of Pwllheli.
Mil Gracias / Diolch Yn Fawr / Thank You Very Much.
