⭐️CASE STUDY⭐️ Caredig is a provider of social and affordable homes and has a strong reputation for making a positive difference in local communities across South West Wales.

Caredig was suffering from a shortage of qualified suppliers to deliver highly-specialised home decarbonisation work in Wales and found it difficult to identify and engage suitably qualified suppliers using traditional approaches (e.g. Google, networks).

Working closely with Caredig and Welsh Government, we created an end-to-end process to identify, engage and qualify these hard-to-find and hard-to-reach suppliers - with significantly less time, cost and pressure than previous methods.

This need to diversify research income and enhance impact through working with industry is key to delivering these strategic aims.⠀

Supporting academic staff in contributing to these goals required a different approach to both kickstarting research and engaging with external organisations. To pump prime this pilot, LMU attracted Arsenal to put forward an inclusivity challenge and, with SimplyDo’s proven process, encouraged academics to collaborate with other partners across industry to provide solutions.⚽📚⠀

They wanted to create a culture of innovation - a space where resources pooled centrally could be leveraged to develop new approaches, fit for the future.⠀

❗️A record 11% of patients waited more than 12 hours for a hospital bed after the decision to admit.
