Job Title: Solar Roofing Installer
Location: Callington/Tavistock (with travel/working away as required)
Start Date: Immediate

About Us:
We are a well-established, family-run business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and reliability. Due to continued growth, particularly within the renewable energy sector, we are looking to expand our team with a skilled Solar Roofing Installer who shares our values of professionalism, teamwork, and pride in their work.

About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on role involving the installation of solar PV systems on a range of roofing types across residential and commercial projects. A key part of the role will include working on larger renewable energy installations as part of a wider team.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of mounting systems and solar panels, working closely with electricians to complete full system installations including inverters and battery storage. While solar experience is desirable, we are happy to support the right candidate in developing these skills.
The role will be based in Callington/Tavistock but will require travel to sites across the UK, including staying away when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install solar PV mounting systems and panels on various roof types
• Work safely at height, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of solar PV systems
• Work on larger commercial roofing and renewable energy projects
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with regulations
• Identify and resolve installation issues on site
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Travel to various sites, including working away from home when required

Requirements:

• Experience in roofing, construction, or solar installation
• Comfortable working at height
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete work
• Competent in organising and maintaining site documentation
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required

Desirable (but not essential):
• Experience with solar PV installations
• Experience working on commercial roofing projects
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working at height
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document work completed
• Competent in organising and storing documentation in the correct systems/folders
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
