Anyone else feel like they’ve been hit by a bus this week… or is it just me? 😅

This week has felt like:
• emotionally sponsored by caffeine
• mentally buffering
• physically running on vibes and one decent snack
• and spiritually requesting a refund

So if you’ve not answered messages, folded laundry straight from the basket, cried over something minor, or stared into space wondering what day it even is… same.

Please remember:
You do not have to be productive every second to be worthy.
Rest is not laziness.
And surviving the week is still an achievement sometimes. 💛

HONESTY POST 🤍

I don’t share this for sympathy… I share it because I know I’m not the only one who’s felt like this.

I used to run my own therapy business.
On the outside it looked great… but behind the scenes?
I hit burnout. Hard.

Overwhelm crept in, the pressure piled up, and I made myself pretty poorly trying to keep everything afloat.

Self-employment can be amazing… but for me, it became lonely and honestly quite brutal.
The constant hustle.
The comparison.
The self-doubt.
The “where is the next £20 coming from?” panic.

One week you feel on top of the world…
The next you’re questioning if the next Tesco shop is even doable.

No support.
No switch off.
No fun.

So I stepped away.

At first, I thought I’d failed.
That I’d given up.

But here’s the truth…
If your heart isn’t in it anymore, you owe it to yourself to ask the hard questions.

I wasn’t happy. Something had to change.

After taking some time out to focus on me (properly this time), I saw a simple Facebook post…
Part-time optical assistant needed.

I applied.
I got it.
And I’ve been there nearly a year now.

And I can honestly say… I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time.

Sometimes stepping away isn’t failure… it’s self-respect.
Sometimes choosing stability, support and being part of a team is exactly what you need.

It’s not about proving anything to anyone.
It’s about putting yourself first.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to take the next step… and maybe drink some water while you’re at it.

If today feels a bit chaotic:
– Do one thing that makes you feel like you’ve got your life together
– Take a breath before reacting
– And remember… winging it is still a strategy (a very experienced one at this point)

You’re doing better than you think.

• slightly tired
• slightly chaotic
• but still showing up like the resilient legend I pretend to be

If your brain is doing the “what’s for dinner / life purpose / did I reply to that message in 2017?” spiral… same. You’re in good company here.

So here’s your gentle Tuesday reminder:
You don’t need to have it all figured out today.
You just need to do the next small thing.
Then maybe another… after a sip of tea and a deep sigh.

We’re not chasing perfection today — we’re going for:

May you remember you don’t have to have it all figured out by Tuesday (despite your brain trying to schedule a full life audit at 2am).

May you find small pockets of calm in the chaos — a quiet cuppa, a deep breath, a moment where nothing is expected of you.

May you trust your gut a little more, even when it whispers instead of shouts.

May you say no without guilt, yes without fear, and “not right now” without over-explaining.

May you realise that slowing down isn’t falling behind… it’s choosing yourself.

And if the week wobbles a little?
May you meet it with softness, humour, and the reminder that you’ve handled worse on less sleep and questionable snacks.

To the plot twists I didn’t see coming,
the detours that turned into destinations,
and the quiet moments that reminded me who I actually am.

Here’s to life not going “to plan”…
because honestly, the unplanned bits?
They’ve been the making of me.

To choosing me.
To trusting my gut (even when it’s loud and slightly chaotic).
To saying no without guilt, and yes without overthinking.
To showing up as I am — not polished, not perfect, but real.

Unapologetically me… and finally okay with that.

then immediately sit on your phone for 20 minutes like a confused potato?
Yeah. Same.

But also being honest about your weaknesses (because that’s where the growth lives)

Choose what builds you, not what drains you

It’s that quiet gut feeling… the one that nudges you in the right direction
Start listening to it. Start trusting it.

💗May you remember that you are allowed to want more… and also nap.

💗May you chase your dreams with wild determination, but also lose your keys, your train of thought, and maybe your patience once or twice — because you’re human, not a productivity robot.

💗May you trust that not everything has to make sense right now.
Some things are growing quietly. Some things are falling away on purpose.

💗May you laugh at yourself, drink your coffee while it’s still hot (ambitious), and stop shrinking just to make life easier for other people.
