‘Work smarter, not harder.’

One of my personal goals this month is to sort all of my own work systems out, so that I’m working much more efficiently, as well as delivering even better outcomes!

I always do a bit of reflection on a Wednesday, and often find myself horrified at how little I’ve got done so far this week! 😂

However, already this week I’ve been far more productive just by having a clearer plan for what I’m getting done and when! 🌟

The first few days in January are geared towards goal setting. There’s a general feeling of motivation and enthusiasm to get going and start a fresh! 👊🏼

However, within a few days the January blues really hit. It’s cold, it’s dark, there’s no Christmas lights dotted around to lift spirits. It’s just not the most fun month really, is it? 😂

Bearing in mind a lot of people are feeling it this time of year, think about how you can lift spirits and provide some positivity with your content over the next few weeks.

January is the perfect opportunity to show your personality and have a bit of fun on your social channels, and be the ray of light everyone needs in their day! ☀️😍

Hooray, it’s Monday! 😅

I’m actually so excited for this week just because it’s back to normality! I’m so looking forward to getting back to routine and getting really stuck into work again.

Anyone else feeling a sense of relief to get back to normal?! 🙋🏻‍♀️

New Year’s Resolutions...

I’ve never set one that I’ve actually been able to stick to! (Apart from one year, when I decided my resolution was to eat more pancakes, and I’m pleased to say, I succeeded 😅)

So this year, it’s all about just keeping myself on track in life.
I’ve got business goals set and milestones planned out to help me reach them. I’ve just got to keep on going, and make it all happen. 👊🏼

There will be hurdles along the way, but every good journey does. As long as I keep going, keep learning and keep growing, then it’s all a positive.

I have to admit, I was in bed at 9pm last night 🙈

The days of staying up till midnight are totally passed - it’s all about a cosy evening with a hot chocolate for me 😅

My simple social tip for you today is: post with purpose.

There’s such a pressure to be active on social media, but frequency should never come before quality.

Avoid posting for the sake of it, and make sure everything you post has a purpose.

So before you hit publish, ask yourself - why am I posting this?

And if you’re not sure, don’t post it!

High quality, purposeful content will achieve far more than daily posts of less quality 🌟

How are you planning for January?

Do you have content planned and scheduled?

Have you got any goals for the month?

January is such an odd month. No one knows what to do with themselves. It’s freezing cold. Moods are low in general. It’s just not the most thrilling month, is it? 😅

However, from a social media perspective, it’s a great month to take the opportunity to connect with your audience.

For example:

When you’re planning out your content for January, think about ways to tap into the January blues (or rather, tap out of it!) - people are in need of cheering up this month, so how could your content put a smile on someone’s face and lift spirits in January? 😇

Also bear in mind that people start the month in a goal setting mindset. Do you offer a product or service that might help them towards their goal?

This year has flown by! I literally can’t believe it’s almost 2020 🤯

6 months ago, I had no idea I was going to launch my own business.
All I had was the idea that I wanted to make it possible to work flexibly around my children, doing something I enjoy.

Then 3 weeks after my daughter was born, an opportunity came up and I took a leap of faith! And here I am 6 months down the line, planning for my first full year of running my own business! 😍

Something I honestly never considered possible!

I’m so excited for what 2020 has in store, and I can’t wait to put my plans into action!

One of the many great things about running my own business is that I don’t dread Mondays anymore!

I really find that my motivation actually refreshes at the start of each week, as I plan what I want to get done and what I hope to achieve.
