We helped guide the submission package and management of the determination period to ensure the landowner understood the process and when they could start work.

The wider land will form part of a managed woodland as a Biodiversity Net Gain habitat bank site.

The proposal included the removal of later additions, including an orangery and delivery of a single storey glazed extension. The visual presented isn’t as clear as the drawings, and the conditions will ensure a fin roof structure minimising the impact.

The ground floor educational use will provide activity to the currently closed off site. The upper floors will deliver 66 student bedspaces and includes an extension to the rooftop.

Set within the conservation area with excellent views of the Cathedral, the team worked hard with the Council to ensure an appropriate scheme is developed.
