Each week, we share a Thrive in Action moment, a real example of how our carers and companions support people to live life in a way that feels meaningful, joyful and truly their own.

"When I arrived, Patricia was ready and waiting, excited for a change of scenery. We enjoyed a gentle trip out to Rye together, taking in the signs of spring along the way. Patricia took particular joy in spotting daffodils and blossom on the trees, and she shared how much she has always loved nature, pointing out birds’ nests high in the branches.

We spent some time browsing in a local charity shop, where Patricia found a cosy cardigan and a beautiful throw. She was delighted with her finds and spoke about what a bargain they were, as well as choosing a small plaque to brighten her room.
Afterwards, we stopped for a cup of tea. On the journey home, Patricia chatted about her home and her ideas for making it feel just right, which felt like a lovely reflection of her sense of identity and future plans."
