A real-life example of a sprinkler system doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Following a lithium battery fire within a social housing property, the installed sprinkler system activated, successfully containing and extinguishing the fire before it could spread further through the building.

Once the incident was brought under control, the affected section of the system was isolated and a Concept engineer attended site within the hour to carry out the necessary checks.

The system was then inspected, tested and recommissioned, ensuring the rest of the building remained fully protected.

For social housing providers, effective fire protection isn’t just about having the right systems installed - it’s about knowing they will respond when needed and having the support in place to get them operational again quickly after an incident.

A strong example of the role sprinkler systems can play in protecting residents, properties and the wider building.

Upgrading existing systems without compromising safety.
We’re pleased to have completed the retrofit and upgrade of the existing sprinkler system at Howard Gardens Student Accommodation, Cardiff.

The works brought the installation into line with BS 9251:2021, ensuring the building continues to benefit from compliant, reliable fire protection.

Retrofitting existing systems is often the most practical and cost-effective way of improving fire safety while extending the lifespan of the original installation.

Wesley Buildings, Caldicot

Protecting residents with modern water mist technology.

We’re delighted to have completed the installation of water mist systems across several apartments at Wesley Buildings, Caldicot.

Designed in accordance with BS EN 14972-17:2025, these systems provide effective fire suppression while using significantly less water than traditional sprinklers, making them an ideal solution for residential environments.

Following completion, all Operation & Maintenance manuals were provided to both the client and Building Control, ensuring a smooth handover and ongoing confidence in the system.

Every project is delivered with the same attention to detail, from installation through to final documentation.

Nelson House, Cardiff

Bringing an existing sprinkler system up to today’s standards.

Every refurbishment project brings new challenges, especially when working within an occupied building.

We’re pleased to have been awarded the contract, alongside CARDO, to carry out adaptation works to the existing sprinkler system at Nelson House, Cardiff, upgrading it to comply with BS 9251:2021.

As refurbishment works take place across multiple floors, our team will retrofit and adapt the existing system to ensure it continues to provide the level of fire protection expected under current standards.
