🌍The built environment can have a big impact on the amount of carbon we produce – reducing that impact is a core theme of our vision for a carbon neutral Cardiff by 2030.
This video – part of a series of seven videos looking at the seven themes of our One Planet Cardiff strategy - looks at some of the actions we’re taking to reduce emissions from our buildings (old and new) and other buildings around the city.
With 1,626,069 tonnes of CO₂e emissions every year, there’s a lot of work to be done but the projects we’ve already got agreed and in the pipeline, projects around transport, green infrastructure and biodiversity, waste, energy, food, and water, as well as the built environment, are expected to remove 360,250 tonnes of CO₂e.
That’s 22% of citywide emissions gone.
