Ein Cyfarwyddwr Datblygu, Marco Gil-Cervantes, yw enillydd cyntaf erioed Gwobr Cyflawniad Eithriadol Graham Benfield yng Ngwobrau Elusennau Cymru 2026.

Mae hon yn wobr newydd gan WCVA CGGC er cof am Graham Benfield, Prif Weithredwr CGGC o 1989 i 2014. Mae’n cydnabod unigolion y mae eu cyfraniad yn ymestyn y tu hwnt i un prosiect neu foment unigol.

Our Development Director, Marco Gil-Cervantes, is the first ever winner of the Graham Benfield Outstanding Achievement Award at the Welsh Charity Awards 2026.

The new award, organised by WCVA CGGC, is named in memory of Graham Benfield, WCVA’s Chief Executive from 1989 to 2014. It recognises people whose contribution reaches beyond a single project or moment.

Bu ein Swyddog Prosiectau Digidol, Sarah Namann, ym Mrwsel dydd Mercher ar gyfer Cynhadledd Gweithwyr Ieuenctid, gan gyfarfod à gweithwyr ieuenctid eraill o ledled Ewrop! 📍

Yn cael ei gynnal gan ERYICA a'i bartneriaid, lansiodd y diwrnod yr 'AI Youth Work Navigator' – platfform newydd sy'n helpu gweithwyr ieuenctid i ddod o hyd i adnoddau AI a'u defnyddio.

Y prif beth a ddysgodd Sarah oedd bod pobl ifanc angen sgiliau i feddwl yn feirniadol am AI, nid ei ddefnyddio yn unig. Ac mae hynny yn rhywbeth rydym yn angerddol amdano yma yn ProMo, gan gynnwys trwy ein prosiect Dyfodol Digidol ar y cyd â Jugendstiftung Baden-Württemberg. Our Digital Projects Officer Sarah spent Wednesday in Brussels at the AI for Youth Workers Conference, meeting youth workers from across Europe! 📍

Hosted by ERYICA and partners, the day launched the AI Youth Work Navigator, a new platform helping youth workers find and use AI tools.

Sarah's big takeaway was that young people need the skills to think critically about AI, not just to use it. That's something we're passionate about here at ProMo, including through our Digital Futures project with Jugendstiftung Baden-Württemberg. Newyddion cyffrous! Mae ProMo wedi cychwyn Sgil AI, rhaglen pum mlynedd newydd sy'n helpu elusennau a grwpiau cymunedol ledled Cymru i ddefnyddio AI yn well ac yn ddiogel.

Mae llawer o sefydliadau eisoes yn arbrofi gydag AI, yn aml heb gymorth. Dros y pum mlynedd nesaf byddem yn:
• hyfforddi 625 o sefydliadau mewn AI
• creu 12 rôl gyda thâl i bobl ifanc
• talu sefydliadau i brofi syniadau AI gyda'r bobl maen nhw'n eu cefnogi fel bod cymunedau yn cael dweud eu dweud o ddifrif!

Bydd popeth sy'n cael ei greu am ddim i'w ddefnyddio, yng Nghymraeg a Saesneg.

Exciting news! We've started Sgil AI, a new five-year programme helping charities and community groups across Wales use AI safely and well.

Lots of organisations are already trying out AI, often without much support. Over the next five years we'll:
• provide AI training to 625 organisations
• create 12 paid roles for young people
• pay organisations to test AI ideas with the people they support, so communities get a real say!

Everything we create will be free to use, in Welsh and English.

Penblwydd Hapus / Happy Birthday, Brian! 🎈🌻 This week we celebrated Brian’s milestone 90th Birthday at our Sunflower Café with plenty of cake and singing🎂🎶

Brian and his daughter were the very first visitors to join us when the café was started 18 months ago at Ebbw Vale Institute (EVI), (operated by ProMo Cymru), and they’ve been coming back every single week since. In fact, since launching, over 130 people have visited the Café.

The Sunflower Café is a dementia-friendly space designed to bring together caregivers of all kinds, their loved ones, anyone living with long-term health conditions, or anyone just looking for a bit of company, reducing isolation and connecting our community in Blaenau Gwent. From free, relaxing wellbeing activities and workshops to outings and events, the Sunflower Café welcomes all, every Wednesday, 11am to 1pm! 💛

Huge credit to Ceri and the fantastic team at EVI for creating such a warm, welcoming weekly space for everyone.
