Welsh Music Foundation (WMF) is the music industry development agency for Wales. We assist, promote and advocate for a sustainable music sector here in Wales, working with any music enterprise or practitioner, regardless of genre or language, that has, or is developing an economic and sustainable focus to its activities. Core funded by Welsh Government as part of the strategy for the creative indu
stries, WMF assists across all types of music activity - from musicians and media composers to venues and festivals; from studios and rehearsal rooms to labels and managers. In turn, we represent the interests of this network to policy makers and partner organisations in Wales and the UK. Regular seminars, e-bulletins, mentoring sessions, research projects, industry offers, professional development, promotion, networking opportunities and international trade missions are just a few of the ways we offer support.
