The Creative Tourism Network® is launching a global invitation for destinations of all kinds to apply for the CreativeFriendlyDestination® label — a recognition celebrating territories that embrace authentic, participatory, and community‑centered tourism.
🌱 Creative Tourism as a Regenerative Model
Creative tourism is increasingly embraced as a virtuous, long‑term approach that:
• activates local creative ecosystems
• strengthens community economies
• revitalizes intangible heritage
• reduces seasonality
• supports climate adaptation and sustainable development
🏞️ From small villages to major cities, islands, rural regions, mountain areas, and emerging territories — every destination can apply and showcase its creative identity.
🌍 Today, more than thirty destinations are part of this global community — from Cannes, Barcelona, and New_Orleans to the Magdalen Islands and Baguio — reflecting the diversity and richness of creative tourism worldwide.
📅 About the Call
The new application process is faster, clearer, and more accessible:
• Deadline: September 15th
• Evaluation within 6 days
• Selected destinations announced at the end of September during the Month of Tourism
