Black & Old London Diamond Chequer Tiled Path 🤩

Upon inspection at this property in Cathays we concluded that the original base had failed over time and instructed the customer that a New Reinforced Base was mandatory to guarantee longevity to the their new path. As always an option to relay their existing tiles was put forward however the client wanted as close a match as possible but with new reproduction tiles.

In Addition to a New Base , we also installed New Rope Edging on both sides of the path plus across the face of the property along with the tiling. We also continued the pattern into their porch.

This Tumbled Edge Travertine Ground Floor had been sealed upon installation 15 years ago. Due to lack of maintenance information provided by the supplier the sealer began to break down resulting in the floor becoming heavily soiled thus the floor was put on the back burner.

We Deep Cleaned / Repolished and Sealed the entire ground floor reviving the Grand Entrance and also informing the customer on what and what NOT to use to preserve the finish & sealer for as long as possible.

I am delighted to show you all one of our most recent projects in Pontcanna , Cardiff.

The job consisted of a new reinforced concrete base as the existing had dropped in several places , re aligning / setting of existing rope borders ( any that could not be used were replaced by reclaimed matching rope borders )

The traditional Oxford pattern with a modified Byron border was achieved with new tiles catered to the customers design.

We also reduced the level of the forecourt , applied W**d Control Fabric and laid Cotswold Gold Flint to which both compliment each other highly 🙌

A Pleasure to assist a good friend of mine on his property renovation located in the North of Cardiff.This remarkable floor dates back to the late 1800s😳

The restoration was not entirely complete in the after images however these are the only ones I had!🤩
