My real pivote moment started by a short course of Loss Control where I opened my eyes on the process of managing the level of safety risks in the workplace. It is simply a proactive phylosophy that identifying exposures to potential loss due to safety incidents then identifying how these exposures can be improved in a cost-effective manner, meaning, to identify the most effective way to reduce risk while keeping costs low.
The notion of proactive and preventive fasceniated me and fire up my curioisity to study engineering management systems and then quality management, is the process of ensuring that a company's products and services are consistently meeting customer requirements and that quality is maintained throughout the product or service life cycle.
Then I understood that the key element of the succeful organisation is the people. Organisations are facing lots of challenges to survive you: volatile markets full of harsh competitors, the uncertainity and never ending changes. To creare loyal customers you need loyal employees, to create loyality you need to satusfy them to stay. The most important element is how you manage their health safety and wellbeing in the workplace. It involves identifying hazards, assessing risks, implementing controls, and monitoring their effectiveness.
Moreover, I wanted to help organisations to foster the safety culture and the best way is through engagement with all levels of the responsibilities in organisation to gain their commitment of change to a better safety culture.Hence I went to get trained in facilitating where I approached diffrent facilitating styles including Open- Space, World Cafe, Future Search to be used in organisational change models such as Appreciative Inquiry.
