Meet Tomi,

Tomi has been with us for a few years now and his progress has been so amazing and so inspirational we wanted to share his story…

Tomi is 20 years old, & he has cerebral palsy. He is also I a para athlete.

Before he was born, he suffered a stroke which resulted in right-sided weakness affecting his arm and leg. He is also registered as partially sighted. In January 2023, he underwent a hemispherectomy, a major brain surgery procedure at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. The operation involved disconnecting one side of my brain in an attempt to better manage his epileptic seizures.

Swimming has been a constant for Tomi over the past few years and since starting with us he’s seen huge benefits to his overall health, his core strength, & flexibility in his arm and shoulders. He also seen massive gains in his aerobic fitness and it’s complemented his running too!

His sporting achievements to date are so impressive 👇

🏃‍♂️ Represented Team Wales at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago.

🏃‍♂️ Gold medal in the Men’s T38 100 metres in a personal best time of 13.27 seconds, securing a historic victory for Team Wales.

You’re absolutely amazing Tomi!!!!
