The reality of the financial issues hitting the self-employed right now:

⛔️ If you don’t have premises - no £10k grant.

⛔️ If you don’t employ staff - no 80% off their wage covered to retain them.

⛔️ We aren’t employed - no 80% of wages covered.

⛔️ We can apply for universal credit and get a maximum of £300 per month, but if we live with a partner who’s lucky enough to have a wage then we get nothing.

⛔️ We haven’t been given a definitive direction to close, but all of our clients are cancelling and our industries are mounting pressure and shame on us to close - the same people who are getting grants and their staff are getting 80% of their wages paid.

Now some of us will get 80% of our 3yrs tax returns but not till June 😱

We know we have to do social distancing. But we are a few days away from zero income.

All these people have built their businesses from zero with unimaginable amounts of blood, sweat and tears.

Please be compassionate and empathetic to your self employed friends, their world is crumbling around them and they haven’t been thrown the same lifeline as you. They are being forced to make horrendously difficult decisions and don’t need any more shame from anyone.

A brand new year…

The New Year can bring mixed emotions, some people can’t wait to see the back of one year because it’s been really tough and they hope the next year will be better. While others may be sad to see a fantastic year end and may be unsure of what this next year will bring.

Regardless of how 2019 worked out for you bear in mind 2020 is a brand new year, 12 new chapters of your life to write and 365 new opportunities. Grab every new opportunity that comes your way and embrace it. Follow your dreams and give everything you’ve got.

Resolutions or goals…

Instead of making new years resolutions that you may not stick to for long, why not set yourself some goals to achieve in 2020. Set yourself some really big goals that push you outside your comfort zone, goals that are a little bit scary but still achievable. Break the big goals into small chunks so they are manageable and achievable.

You can make your goals much more achievable by setting SMART goals. S stands for specific, M stands for measurable, A stands for achievable, R stands for relevant and T stands for time-bound.

The more specific you make your goal the easier it is to focus on it and achieve it. Your goal needs to be measurable so you know when you have achieved it. Please make sure that your goal is achievable, huge goals are great, but totally unachievable goals will leave you feeling deflated and they are counterproductive. Your goal also needs to be relevant to what you want to achieve or it will just be a distraction from what you really want in life. Ensuring your goal is time bound makes it much more achievable e.g. I will achieve x by 25th March 2020 rather than I will achieve x. Setting a date gives you a target to aim for and gives you urgency to get started.

Good evening all, hope I catch you all still building on your dreams. If your new to my page, then welcome.

I want to share a bit of my business journey with you all. I often use the picture on the left to explain what business will look like. An iceberg is a brilliant way of explaining it as it only shows 1/10 of the iceberg the rest is hidden under deep waters. In business, wether is is a service business, product or property refurb, we have the same effect.

For instance I have spent the past 12 years setting up and running a now very successful training company, but in the early days I had lots of knock backs, worked way too many hours, leading into neglecting my family, so much studying, marketing, and hours just learning how to run a business. It was difficult. But I never gave up, I was very persistent. Too many people give up too easy, that’s why 1 in 10 business fail. I also did not have a coach in the early days, half way through my journey I found Kevin, and signed onto his coaching program, Peri became my coach, and now I am coaching others in this group. I feel honoured and privileged that I get to do this on a daily basis, and I have the most amazing coaching clients too who are now working on climbing their iceburg, you know who you are!!!

The 2 pictures on the right are me and my business idol Sir Richard Branson, these pictures where taken earlier this month when I was fortunate enough to spend a week on his private island socializing with Richard and his guests, a week I will cherish for a very long tome to come. Sir Richard also took a great interest in my recently published children’s book too, which I gifted to his grandchildren, he was so impressed with the concept of the book. I’m still smiling about that.

So in summery, please don’t give up on your dream. You will experience hard times, you will have to work hard to get that passive income, your rise to success will require lots of research and study, you will need to grow your network, go to meetings that you rather not, but if your prepared to do all this, success will follow.

Enjoy your weekend and don’t give up on that dream! As it may just come true. xx

Right now is a good time to plan your next holiday (batteries can’t run on empty).

Your an entrepreneur, you have had you rest, time now to take action.

Remember you can have the best ideas in the world but they only work if you take action!

What action are you planning to take in 2020, please write 10 actions you plan to complete below, as I would love to see what you all have planned.

1. Publish 3 more Chlidrens books
2. Launch a National Metal Health Show
3. Host my second successful all female conference
4. Donate £10,000 to charity
5. Launch a medical supplies shop with over 10,000 products
6. Sell 5,000 Children’s books
7. Visit 6 different countries
8. Walk 100k across the Sahara Desert
9. Launch 2 new companies
10. Continue my work as a coach and watch and enjoy my clients success...

That will do for starers 🙂
