A few words from Director Neil McEvoy
⚖️ A lot of people know me for politics. Not so many people know I practise family law. I started properly studying law in 2021 & set up my own advocacy services company.
📚 Several courses later & having passed the Solicitor Entry Exam 1, I'm looking to qualify as a solicitor next year. I currently work family law cases under supervision with M&B Solicitors & Barristers.
⚖️ M&B is a fighting firm, so it's a good fit for me. I also work with lovely people, which is such a contrast to many I worked with in politics! 😄 M&B does Family Law, Crime, Wills & Probate.
👨👩👧👦 I also carry out private advocacy work for parents who are involved with Children's Services. I have 27 years experience of Children's Services in various capacities.
🔎 My best results come in stopping cases
getting to court.
Some professionals don't like me involved, because I forensically examine reports, insist on transparency & expect a proper job to be done. Some professionals are marvellous to work with. 🤝 The more professional they are, the better we get on.
✅ Since 2022, I have enabled families not to go to court & helped them come off child protection measures.
I am not qualified to give legal advice, but I do give honest advice about how to deal with Children's Services. Not all clients like my advice, but it comes from 27 years of experience.
❤️ In the past 3 years, I have helped prevent 7 children from being adopted. Just think about that.
🏡 I have also helped get children out of care & reunited with their hard working, patient, diligent parents. You have to be all that to get your children out of care.
👶 I do private legal work also on contact issues with children. I spent 11 years in Family Court; I have lived the stress of that; it's a real pleasure now to use the negative in my past as a real positive for others.
💙 Reuniting families is wonderful work to do. It means a lot.
😏 So the next time a troll tells me to get 'a proper job', you know what I do!
