Forget pub crawls, this is a sunshine crawl ☀️

Let’s be honest, finding a seat AND finding the sun is basically an Olympic sport in Cardiff.

With a heatwave heading our way this weekend, we’ve done some important research and mapped out where to chase the sun around Cardiff this summer, from morning coffee spots and hidden sun traps to golden hour rooftops and post-work pints.

We’re thrilled to have won the Business Services Provider Award at the last night. 🏆

This award reflects the work we deliver every day on behalf of our members and the wider city centre, from championing businesses and supporting events, to improving safety, cleanliness and the overall experience of Cardiff city centre.

Meet Bethan Roberts ( on Instagram ), the illustrator behind our newest public art installation on Queen Street 🎨

Working in collaboration with the University of South Wales we gave illustration students the opportunity to respond to a live creative brief, with the winning design transformed into a massive mural on the former New Look store on Queen St.

For Bethan, this was the chance to see her work showcased on one of the busiest streets in the city. For us, it’s another example of how public art can brighten spaces whilst supporting emerging local talent.

As we head towards our BID renewal ballot, we’re continuing to shine a light on the projects helping create a more vibrant, welcoming city centre for everyone.
