Mastering Diversity Conference Bernie Davies MASTERING DIVERSITY & INCLUSION CONFERENCE & AWARDS WALES

28/05/2026

🇺🇳 From Geneva… to moments that stay with you.

This first highlights reel from the Global Empowerment & Inclusion Summit 2026 captures powerful moments from Jamie, Dara, Corina, Elaine and voices from across the Summit as we explored equity, leadership, empowerment and inclusion.

Different stories.
Different sectors.
Different perspectives.

One shared belief:

The future belongs to collaboration.

What happened in Geneva cannot stay in Geneva.

These conversations must travel.
They must influence.
They must become action.

And now the journey continues home to Wales.

Before the speeches. Before the applause. Before the doors opened.

There was excitement.
There were nerves.
There were conversations in corridors, coffee moments, new introductions and a shared feeling that something powerful was about to begin.

The Global Empowerment and inclusion Summit conceptualised by our Founder Bernie Davies in her capacity of Patron of convening organisation Group in knowledge partnership with us. Grateful to and Samuel

From the UK, USA, Australia to Brazil, South Africa and beyond, people gathered in Geneva carrying stories, ideas and one shared purpose: reimagining equity, empowerment and intergenerational collaboration.

Watching these moments back now feels special — because movements often begin quietly.

A conversation.
A connection.
A shared purpose.

Then suddenly… momentum.

And the journey continues.

As I head back home to Wales today, I’m reminded that these conversations do not stay in Geneva. They travel. They grow. They continue.

Some partnerships don’t just last—
they grow roots.

From day one, NatWest has stood alongside Mastering Diversity.

Not once.
Not occasionally.
Every year since inception.

That kind of consistency tells a story.

Through this partnership, NatWest continues to:
✔ Strengthen internal culture
✔ Deepen community connection
✔ Align purpose with action

A special thank you to Nathan Martin, sharing why this partnership continues to matter—and why they keep coming back.

🎥 Watch. Listen. This is what sustained partnership looks like.

Because impact isn’t built in moments—
it’s built in commitment.

📽️ Episode 3: How Equal is Wales?

This one hits different.

We asked the question—
but this time, it comes from a place of real strength.

Featuring Kieran Jones 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

From Anglesey roots…
to elite para sport.

From farming community life…
to the wider Welsh stage.
His view on equality?

It’s not theory.
It’s lived.

And when he speaks—you feel it.

🎥 Episode 3 is here.

Watch it. Then answer this—

How equal is Wales… to you??

👇
And it’s all building toward one place—

All hail the coolest Deputy Centre Director in Wales🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 Richard Stephens-Knott 🥳🥳🥳

Today we highlight the brilliant impact the has on our Capital and Welsh Life. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Last week our Founder saw first hand the influx of people from all over the country and overseas that it brings to Wales. We even interviewed someone from Los Angeles who knows Angelica Huston, Magic Mike and more. Mad!🥳

and hear the heart of the man leading an incredible team who finds time to support community cohesion and equality for all who visit the centre and as well as its environs. 👏🏾👏🏾

📽️ Episode 2: What Makes Wales Stand Out?...

We changed the question…

Not what’s wrong.
Not what’s missing.

But this:

What are you proud of about Wales?

And the answers?

They were honest.
They were real.

One voice you need to hear—

Bayanda Vundamina- past President .university
Student Union...
Speaking on the connection between Welsh heritage and Black heritage…
how both have been challenged, yet still stand strong.

There’s something powerful in that.
Something that stays with you.

Alongside him, other voices reflect on culture, beauty, belonging—
each one adding depth to the story.

Different journeys.
One feeling:

There is something here worth holding onto.

This is Episode 2 of How Equal is Wales?
And it’s leading somewhere bigger.

📽️ “How Equal is Wales?” — Episode 1

We didn't just stick to a conference.
We went to the people.

In the middle of St David’s Centre…
in the noise, the movement, the everyday—

we asked one question:
🎤How equal is Wales?

No scripts.
No filters.
Just truth.

And the answers?

They’ll make you pause.
They might make you uncomfortable.
They might sound a little too familiar.
Because equality isn’t what we say it is…
it’s what people feel it is.

This is Episode 1
Real voices. Real experiences. Real reflection.

🎥 Watch it. Then answer this:

How equal is Wales—to you?
