📣 GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) grants are coming soon!

The FETF offers grants for specific items of equipment which will positively impact;

🌿farm productivity
🌿the environment
🌿animal health and welfare
🌿management of slurry

The funding is split into two themes:

▪️Productivity and Slurry (open later this month)

▪️Animal Health and Welfare (available in March)

🌿Key Dates Released 🌿

The Rural Payments Agency have released key dates for upcoming Countryside Stewardship windows.

🌿7th Feb, Higher Tier applications open, closing on 28th April

🌿21st March, Mid Tier applications open, closing on 18th August.

Further SFI standards have been announced in a recent press release.

DEFRA have announced that six further standards will now be added to the Sustainable Farming Incentive in 2023.

🌿Hedgerows standard

🌿Nutrient management standard

🌿Low input grassland standard

🌿Arable and horticultural land standard

🌿Integrated pest management standard

🌿Improved grassland standard

Indicative payment rates for these standards have also been released.

More details on these standards are expected in the coming weeks.

Countryside Stewardship Capital Payment Rates -UPDATE

We don’t always have time to keep our social media up to date, but we’ve had another great year meeting lots of really interesting people, making new connections and doing what we do best helping rural businesses to be the best they can be.

Lots planned for the New Year but for now the out of office is on for a few days …..

On Tuesday Andy attended the inaugural meeting of the CAAV (The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers) Farming and Business Committee at the NEC in Birmingham.

Andy has been elected onto the Farming and Business Committee and is delighted to represent farmers across the north of England.

The purpose of the committee is to provide representation and expertise across farm and business matters across the whole of the UK.

It will also give Andy invaluable insight into agricultural and business matters within the rural industry, working with some of the most experienced agricultural and business advisers from across the country.

This week Andrew spoke at the Northumberland National Park Authority famers meeting held at the Riverdale Hall Hotel Ltd in Bellingham.

He received many interesting questions from local farmers who are navigating the many complex changes facing farming. The focus was on opportunities for future funding for your farm business through both government and private sector funding.
