The start of an exciting new chapter 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

As some of you may know, we've recently opened a third office to support our expanding operations within Scotland.

We now have a permanent team based near Glasgow which positions us closer to our Scottish clients, projects and supply chain partners, allowing us to strengthen relationships, improve responsiveness and continue delivering high-quality projects across Scotland.

Project Update...

📍Development: One Murphy Hub

Our work on site at One Murphy Hub in Golborne has been steady away since March.

Included within this extensive new development is a 3-storey, purpose built office for 400 people and a 23,500sq ft plant depot. Due to complete later this year, our team have been tasked with the internal decoration of the new state-of-the-art office building, as well as a small workshop and gatehouse.

With mist coating complete, we're now applying a range of tough, cleanable Dulux and Armstead finishes to the walls, ceilings and woodwork. Some of the high level work also includes applying a water-based sealer to the exposed soffits and columns.

Further updates to follow - we can't wait to see the finished result on this project - the bold staircase and planted wall in the full-height atrium is going to look spectacular!

🏥Manchester Royal Infirmary

Things are progressing nicely on Phase 2 of Project RED at the MRI.

After working on the initial phase back in 2024, we rejoined the scheme earlier this year alongside Vinci.

The £40m renovation of the MRI Emergency Department has been a three-year construction programme, with Phase 2 involving the demolition of the old resuscitation area, and extending the emergency triage, majors and minors zones alongside building new operating theatres.

Our package includes all internal painting and decorating work throughout the building using a Dulux specification with a range of durable, high-performance paint products including the scrubbable, Anti-Bacterial Dulux Sterishield.

Our team on site have made good progress in the past few weeks! Level 1 is now complete and awaiting sign off and our operatives have been able to commence work down on the ground floor.

Further updates to come from this state-of-the-art development as the project draws closer to completion...

✅ Project complete at Tameside College🥳

We recently completed the painting and decorating package at Tameside College's Ashton-under-Lyne town centre campus for ICON Projects Ltd.

🏢 The project involved the refurbishment of an existing building adjacent to the college as part of Tameside Council's 'Vision Tameside' development, with the aim to extend the college's student learning space to meet growing demands.

The internal fit out included the creation and decoration of additional classrooms, exam spaces, meeting rooms and welfare facilities. We used a Dulux trade specification throughout to provide long-term durability and a high quality finish.

📈 A trickle start in May ramped up to four fast-paced weeks in June. This made ICON'S proactive approach to planning and collaboration essential in achieving the delivery targets on this time-critical programme.

It's been wonderful to watch the transformation come to life throughout the fit out, with the fresh colour palette resulting in a vibrant, modern learning environment.

A huge thanks to everyone involved from team STORY, and to James and the team at ICON for placing your trust in us on this first endeavour together; it's been a pleasure to work with you! 🤝

We’re up and running on two new refurbishment projects this week...

📍Mercedes Benz, Liverpool
📍Commercial Offices, Bellshill

We're looking forward to working alongside TA Knox on the comprehensive refurbishment of the Mercedes Benz dealership on Pall Mall in Liverpool.

Our package includes decoration to the internal and external steelwork including the prominent steel canopy, as well as the interior fit out including walls, ceilings, woodwork and flooring.

We'll be applying a range of ultra-durable paints internally and specialist heavy-duty, anti-corrosion paint to the steelwork to create a long-lasting, sleek, high quality finish.

☝️North of the border, we'll be working with HDF Services to deliver a programme of interior decoration refurbishments across a number of commercial properties in and around Bellshill and Hamilton.
