Busy day, and another interesting pest issue, rats🐀🐀 and cluster flies🪰🪰🪰🪰 in the same loft.
Follow up visit: installation of a specialist fly killer to eradicate the cluster flies, which have been returning annually judging by the amount of smoke bombs found throughout the loft.

We have been posting quite a videos over the past week, only because there has been a variety of jobs we've attended that are quite interesting.
Bat 🦇 droppings in the bathroom airing cupboard had led us to the loft area, but supprisingly, there was no bat activity found, and no signs of bat 🦇 droppings.
The property had a new roof and some loft insulation within the last ten years.
Our survey has confirmed that there is currently no bats active in the loft, and the droppings were then found to be historical.

The usual suspects 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀

Wether a customer requires 6 annual visits a year or 12 visits, rats can move in between some regular visits, but will not be able to multiply in large numbers.
Neighbouring properties can have issues with brow rat infestations, and the Zeta / Omega rats are often be forced out of a colony and will often explore and exploit a suitable habitat.
Often taking higher risks in search of a food source, just like what had previously occurred before arriving at the premises when a rat had tried entering a kitchen window after traversing up the external roughcast wall onto the kitchen windowsill.

This is one of the more serious brown rat🐀 infestations, despite there being activity around the external guttering alone the roof, l also believe that there is an issue from a damaged soil pipe leading under the property extension.
External bait monitors have no signs of activity, but there are two areas that are showing a route directly across both boundaries.

Both cluster fly species in a loft of a property in the Gwendraeth valley.
Successfully treated using our specialist ULV fogging machine to have the desired knock down.
Half an hour's hoovering should get these little blighters in the bag.

Yellow swarming cluster flies.

We are now able to offer a new after treatment service in lofts, this when rat droppings can be present over months and years of activity that has accumulated.
Rat and mouse droppings, can now be removed with our industrial hoover, contaminated loft insulation can also be removed.
We can remove cluster flies after ULV treatment, and also large accumulations of bat droppings, which would require a survey after the bats have moved on for hibernation.

We are also able to sanitise the entire loft space using our specialist ULV Fogging machine.
