⭐️ BNI B4C Weekly Round-Up ⭐️

What a great meeting yesterday at B4C!!

💡 Lucy Howe Guthealth, HealthyBody HealthyMind, opened with the core values, capturing the importance of all seven. Our members actively demonstrate these values to get the most out of BNI and to support the growth of each other’s businesses. 👏

📚 Kevin Jones, Celsius Installations & Services Ltd, delivered the Education Coordinator slot, and as always, it was both engaging and interactive. We always look forward to Kevin’s sessions - funny, thought-provoking and delivered with real purpose. This week he focused on the “right ingredients” needed to create a positive client experience and generate referrals. Using a restaurant analogy, he highlighted how service, care, and presentation shape outcomes: a frozen, underprepared pizza with poor service leading to a negative experience and no repeat business, versus a well prepared, attentive approach that creates a positive impression and opportunities for long-term referrals.

🏆 This week Anne Meredith, Sterling Designs held the Oscar, giving her the chance to showcase her design business in more detail and let members understand how best to support her.

🎤 For the 10-minute presentation, Daniel Hughes - Financial Planner, as a new member, delivered his first talk. He did a fantastic job, offering genuine insight into how he researches the best mortgage advice for his clients. Rather than simply identifying what appears to be the best option, he digs deeper to uncover real value, always considering both the client’s current position and their long-term goals.

🥇We also had a brilliant testimonial from Nicola Dickenson Pasture Perfect, Pasture Perfect, to Anne Meredith, Sterling Designs, recognising the exceptional rebrand completed for her business. Anne’s level of expertise, creativity and experience in branding and design is second to none.

A really positive meeting all round, well done everyone.

🎉 BNI B4C Weekly Round-Up 🎉

We kicked off last weeks meeting in style with a birthday song for Steve Gregory, Fire Assessedwho celebrated his 'young' birthday with us! 🎂🥳

💡 Core Values was delivered by Kevin Jones, Celsius Installations & Services Ltd demonstrating the work that goes on behind the scenes before referrals happen. Building relationships, consistency and trust until members feel confident and happy to pass business your way.

📚 Education Slot was presented by Sam Green, Husky Protection, who explained the difference between a simple “lead” and a properly warmed-up opportunity. Quality introductions make all the difference!

🏆 This week Dan Hughes, Daniel Hughes - Financial Planner held the Oscar, giving him the chance to showcase his business in more detail and let members understand how best to support him.

🎤 An excellent 10 minute presentation by Lucy Howe Guthealth, HealthyBody HealthyMind highlighting inflammation as the body’s “silent fire.” Lucy explained how everyday exposure to toxins, chemicals, and the foods we eat can quietly impact our energy, digestion, mood, and overall performance.

"At the core is our gut health. When the digestive system is out of balance, it affects far more than digestion - impacting energy, immunity, mental clarity, sleep, and how we feel day to day. Symptoms like low energy, bloating and brain fog are often signs the body needs support."

Lucy's message was simple: reduce toxic load and support the body from within, and everything can shift. We feel better, think clearer, and show up more confidently - inside and out.

👏 It was also great to welcome Wes from Pengelly Plumbing as a visitor. Brilliant enthusiasm from someone starting out on the self-employed journey - we wish him every success.

🙌 Another strong contribution round from the chapter, and exciting plans are already underway for our 2nd Birthday in May - which should bring plenty of visitors and a fantastic atmosphere!

This week’s meeting may have been a little smaller than usual, due to the Easter holidays but what it lacked in numbers, it more than made up for in quality, insight, and energy 💥

💡 Core Values – Kirsty Jones, Kirsty's Law Ltd
Kirsty delivered a brilliant reminder of what BNI is really built on - consistency, trust and showing up even when the room isn’t full. It’s easy to stay motivated when things are busy, but the real strength of a chapter is shown in weeks like this. Turning up, supporting each other and continuing to build relationships is what keeps the engine running 🚀

🎓 Education Slot – Amanda Taylor, Thomas Carroll
Amanda's education slot was one of those that genuinely makes you stop and think. She focused on how strong relationships and meaningful conversations lead to better quality referrals, not just more of them. It reminded us that it’s not about rushing the process but about understanding people properly so when you do pass business, it’s the right business! 🤝

👏 10 Minute Presentation - Dan Barnard, Airedale Finance
A big well done to Dan on his first 10 minute presentation. Dan gave us a clear and practical breakdown of the finance options available to businesses, covering everything from smaller purchases right through to larger investments. A real eye opener for many in the room, especially around how finance can help businesses grow without tying up cash flow 💼

📈 Vice President Report - Anne Meredith Sterling Designs
A great round up and insight into the stats and figures of our chapter. The figures for March were outstanding - the 'thank you for the business' was £41,673 !! That's a 169% increase from last month. Amazing! Well done everyone.

👋 Farewell to Nicky John - Llys Nini Rspca
This week we also said goodbye to Nicky who has been a key part of the chapter since the very beginning. Nicky has contributed so much over the years and will be hugely missed by everyone in the room. We wish her all the very best for the future - once BNI, always BNI 💙

A great meeting last week with our members fully engaged and committed to supporting the growth of our chapter. The energy in the room really showed with plenty of quality referrals and testimonials being shared.

👏 In our Core Values slot, Anne from Sterling Designs, reminded us what BNI is truly about. It’s not a coffee morning meet up - it’s a room full of business owners who are committed to helping each other grow. It’s about relationships, trust, and mindset. Asking ourselves: Who can I help today? Who can I trust? And who do I want in my network? Not everything is transactional. It’s about having a trusted circle of local, proven professionals we can rely on. People we’ve built genuine relationships with.

📚 Daniel Clarkson, AMW Wealth spoke about the difference between leads and genuine, high-quality referrals. A true referral is more than just a name or a tag on social media. It's an introduction between a member and a prospective client, creating a real opportunity to do business. It’s about connection, credibility, and an elite referral about sitting down face to face to make that introduction count.

🎤 Our 10-minute presentation was delivered by Nirdeep, AIMS Accountants for Business - Nirdeep De Mello. Nirdeep gave great insight into her business, especially with Making Tax Digital becoming increasingly important. Nirdeep shared how she supports her clients through these changes, backed up with real life case studies that highlighted the value of having the right accountant in your corner. She also openly shared her fee structure, which came as a welcome surprise showing that getting your accounts in order, properly and professionally is far more affordable than many people expect.

👏 Nirdeep also received a fantastic testimonial from Anne, Sterling Designs, following a very prompt turnaround in helping a close friend get their accounts sorted. Something that had previously been a real nightmare for them. A great example of Nirdeep's level of care, efficiency and expertise that we’re proud to have within the chapter.
