A recent 470kWp commercial system installed for Petrow Food Industries.

🌱 Powering a more sustainable future at Crabtree Farm, Lupton ☀️

We’re pleased to share that solar panels have now been installed at our clinic at Crabtree Farm, Lupton. The Crabtree farming policy is driven by an ambition to farm commercially in an environmentally sustainable way.

These panels will generate approximately 85 - 90kW across the clinic, stables, and farm buildings, significantly reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

As an equine practice, caring for horses goes hand in hand with caring for the environment they live in. Tapping into renewable energy is just one of the ways we’re working to:
• reduce our carbon footprint
• support sustainable rural practices
• build a greener future for equine care

We’re proud to be collaborating with the farm on this project and taking a positive step toward more environmentally responsible operations for both businesses.

Supporting UK farmers is crucial for food security, economic stability, environmental stewardship, and maintaining the iconic British countryside. Farmers provide high-quality, traceable food, sustain rural communities through jobs, and are essential stewards of the environment, helping to protect wildlife and meet climate change goals.

This 68.37kWp system has a short payback with 129 panels installed and an annual solar production of 71.31 MWh!
