SMALL BUT MIGHTY – 45 YEARS OF PUNCHING ABOVE OUR WEIGHT!
We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for Social Enterprise Northern Ireland Social Enterprise of the Year (Small Category) and what a way to celebrate our 45th anniversary! 🎉
Our journey began in 1981, in response to the devastating loss of 6,000 manufacturing jobs in our local area. From those challenging beginnings, Carrickfergus Enterprise was born with one mission, to create opportunities, support local businesses and help our community thrive.
45 years on, we are still doing just that!
From pioneering digital support through our Iconnect programmes in 1999 to championing local entrepreneurs through Enterprising Women in 2018 and Coastal Tourism Series in 2015, we have always listened, innovated and adapted.
Since opening our first workspace in 1994, we have grown into a thriving business hub, proudly maintaining 100% occupancy regularly since then. Proof that affordable, flexible workspace and a welcoming, collaborative community really do make a difference!
And we're not finished yet! With plans for 12 new office pods and collaboration at Sullatober Business Park, our ambitions are as big as ever.
To top it all off, we're celebrating THREE award nominations, including Leader of the Year for our fantastic CEO Kelli McRoberts and Young Person of the Year for our marketing angel Sophie Bagchus Marketing!
Born out of challenge. Built on innovation. Driven by people.
45 years on, we may still be small, but our impact is mighty!
Wish us luck! Look out for the winners on the night and lots of photos of the Carrickfergus Enterprise team.
