Silage making yesterday in Argoed yesterday!!

Impressive machinery !!
How things have changed ,
I found some photo’s of silage making in the early ‘70’s at Argoed!
Evan Lloyd Penlanlas on the Ford 5000 direct cut , I’d say it’s Roger on the the other forager ( a later photograph) who worked for Gwynant Nantsiriol at the time and Dad on the buckrake, rolling the pit!
The 3 had a silage syndicate in the 70’s which worked well at the time.
Fond memories of them all !!

It's suddenly gone cold. A load of prepacked going out this afternoon supplying local garages.
