I talked about changing how I support people in my business recently, and this wasn't a bad thing.

It happened sooner than I had anticipated if I'm honest, but it's now given way to something that I have been sitting on for a while. I want to give this new thing an opportunity to grow so it can stretch it's wings and see where it takes us.

This will be something that is going to house every single one of my values, and delivered in a way that suits my lifestyle right now, and means growth and results for my clients. WIN WIN.

The thing about running your own business is that it's YOURS.

You get to make decision (sometimes tough ones).

You get to decide what works for you and what doesn't.

I loved doing my 1:1 work but I just don't have the capacity for that right now. Doesn't mean it will NEVER BE OFFERED AGAIN, it's just that right now, I need to look at how I can operate my business with maximum impact for both me and my clients, and that's just as exciting.

Change can sometimes feel hard, but it can also mean amazing new opportunities 😊

I talk about hustle culture a fair bit, and, for what it’s worth, here’s my take on it.

Hustle shouldn’t be your default setting. It shouldn’t be a permanent fixture. You don’t need to be in “go, go, go” mode 24/7. But let’s not kid ourselves, you can’t avoid it completely either.

There are seasons in business when you have to hustle. Full stop. But those seasons are planned. They’re managed.

You know when you’re going to lean in, and you’ve got the support in place, whether that’s family, childcare, or just a freezer full of ready meals, so you can tip the scales towards business for a while without everything else falling apart.

But here’s what I want to know, what does hustle actually mean to you?

Before I had a child, I know I would have worked on my business for ALL the hours I had. 100%. Because I loved it.

Is that hustle?

Or is that just passion?

Where’s the line?

Is it about the number of hours you put in? About how the work makes you feel? Is it a mix of both? Do you measure it by the impact it has on your life outside the business? Or is it about balance, no matter how obsessed you are with your work? (Then we open up the whole “what is balance” convo …. for another time…..).

So when does passion become hustle?

Answers on a postcard.

You keep saying “things need to change”…..but you’re doing the same stuff week in week out.

You keep saying you need to make more money…..but you’re running a business model that already doesn’t work around your life.

You keep telling yourself “this can’t be it”…..then going back to the same strategy tomorrow.

You keep thinking the problem is consistency.

You keep waiting for more time.

You keep saying “I just need a breakthrough”.

You keep pushing harder…..and hoping next month will be different.

Let’s stop waiting.

Let me walk you through the 6 steps of my framework that will help you to build a family first business model so you can start making the small changes that are going help the big changes happen.

Can you even begin to imagine how frustrating (and upsetting) it must be to not be able communicate your needs in a way people understand?

If you’re doing something in your business and you can’t tell me, right now, without Googling it, WHY you’re doing it…stop!

Seriously. Just stop.

I see it all the time.

People launching podcasts because “everyone’s got one.”

Posting on TikTok because some guru said it’s the next big thing.

Starting a newsletter, a YouTube channel, a bloody carrier pigeon service, because that’s what the crowd is doing.

Every single action you take in your business needs to have a reason behind it.

A direct, strategic reason that ties back to YOUR goals.

If you don’t know why you’re doing something, you’re just adding noise and busywork to your plate. And let’s be honest, none of us have time for that.

So, before you jump on the next bandwagon, ask yourself

❓Does this move me closer to my actual business goals?
❓Is this something my ideal clients even care about?
❓Am I doing this because it makes sense for ME, or just because it’s what everyone else is doing?

If you can’t answer those questions with a big, fat, confident YES, give yourself permission to stop.

This is YOUR business. Those decisions stop with you. So if you feel like your business is a burden, look at what you’re doing, and change HOW you’re doing it.

Let’s get one thing straight.

You do NOT have to choose between a business that pays the bills and a family life that actually feels good.

You are not “less committed” or “less serious” because you refuse to sacrifice your child’s wellbeing for someone else’s idea of success.

That whole “you have to hustle and miss the moments that matter” narrative? Complete BS.

If you’re sick of trying to squeeze your family into the cracks of your business and you’re ready to flip the script and build a business that actually suits your life, I’ve got something for you.

My free training: 6 Steps To Creating A Family-First Business Model

(yes, the title is as straightforward as it gets cos you don’t need fluff and I didn’t have the spare 4 hours to come up with a more imaginative title, that’s NOT my forte).

As I was saying, this is for you if:

🙋🏻‍♀️ You’re tired of advice from “experts” who’ve never had to juggle a meltdown, a school run, and a client call in the same hour.

🙋🏻‍♀️ You want a business that supports your family, not one that steals you from them.

🙋🏻‍♀️ You’re ready to stop feeling guilty for wanting both.

Stop taking advice from people who have no idea what your life actually looks like.

It’s time to build a business that works for YOU.

My entire business is built in the gaps between school runs, therapy appointments, hospital trips, and the bloody endless admin that comes with being a parent to a kid who doesn’t fit the “standard” box.

And you know what?

I used to feel guilty about it.

Like, properly guilty. Like I was somehow cheating at business because I couldn’t do the 5am hustle or the “just work while they nap” bu****it that people with no clue keep spouting.

But I’m not here to perform some version of entrepreneurship that was never designed for me.

I’m not here to sacrifice my kid’s needs on the promise that “one day it’ll be worth it.”

I’m building this thing around him, not despite him.

And if that means my workday looks like a patchwork quilt stitched together with tea, swear words, and the occasional ugly cry, then so be it.

You don’t need permission from me, but I’m giving it anyway. You get to do it your way.

You get to say “this isn’t working for my family” and burn the bloody rulebook.

You get to build a business that fits around your life, not the other way round. And if anyone tells you that’s not possible, send them my way, I’ll happily tell them to f**k off for you.

You’re not alone in this. You’re not failing. You’re just building something real, in the middle of real life. And that takes guts, resilience, and courage.

You are a badass!

It’s 10pm. You’re staring at your laptop, Canva open, unread emails, a content creation block that would eclipse the sun, and you’re thinking, “How am I supposed to build this business and still be a functioning parent for my kids?”

And let’s not talk about the guilt, it hits HARD!

When you’re working, you feel like you’re letting your family down. When you’re with your family, you’re stressing about the business you’re trying to build.

You’ve got a notebook full of half finished plans, a head full of ideas, and every time someone asks what you do, you stumble over your words.

You’re working your arse off, but it feels like you’re spinning plates, none of which are actually moving you forward.

This is why THIS exists 👇🏻

3-Month 1:1 Accelerator – Only 2 Spaces Left! (£999)

This isn’t about hustling harder. It’s about designing a family first business model that fits your life instead of adding more stress and pressure to it.

We’ll map out your business step by step, so you know exactly what you’re building and how you’re going to get there, without sacrificing the stuff that actually matters the most (the kids).

Here’s what you get:

Weekly 45-min 1:1 calls with me (no fluff, just strategy and action following my FIREUP Framework)

Access to me via messenger/other between calls, because procrastination is real and I want you to get results even more than you do.

Accountability tracker we both use, so you actually do the things you say you’re going to do (or I’m there to kick your butt and give you a hug at the same time).

We kick off Mon 11 May. If you want a spot, you need to move fast, there's only 2 left and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Love a community vibe and don’t want to do this alone?

I can do this as a group program too. You and 2 or more of your business besties (with a few tweaks to the assets to make it work for everyone) @ £750 per person. DM me to talk more

Ready to finally get clear, get moving, and build a business that works around the life you actually live (not the instagram life everyone THINKS you live)?

I’ve never put a “description” to this before but it’s something I’ve been experiencing for the past few days.

The holiday hangover.

If only I was talking about too many sangrias on a sandy beach for a week. I’m not.

I’m talking about that bone deep exhaustion that hits SEN parents after the school holidays.

2.5 weeks of living on high alert.

2.5 weeks of firefighting meltdowns, managing routines (or the total lack of them), and trying to keep everyone afloat.

2.5 weeks of being “on” every single second, because there’s no off switch when you’re the parent of a child with additional needs.

And now, suddenly, it’s back to work!

Except your brain is fried, your body’s running on fumes, and the overwhelm has hit you like a freight train.

You’re staring at your inbox, your to-do list, your business goals, and it all feels like climbing Everest in flip-flops.

Even the simplest of decisions paralyse you.

This is something I’m more and more conscious of and something I need to intentionally work around when I’m booking calls and working with clients.

Understanding when I need to pull back (even if everyone else if full throttle) so that I can give my best at the right times it’s SO important to me.

This is all part of ensuring my business works with my life, not adding more pressure to it.

I care deeply about the service and experience I give to my clients so being fully aware of situations like this, means I can ensure I serve them better.
