A really enjoyable and rewarding 2 days teaching children at Hazel Grove High School, Stockport on our Teen Lifesavers course.

There is now another 50 children who can recognise specific first aid incidents and know how to make simple interventions to save a life.

We also had some very open talks about knife crime and drugs - if I have changed just 1 childs mindset in relation to these subjects then I have done a good job.

There were an absolute pleasure to teach and a credit to the school.

With Mental Health being so important for everyone I was thinking of putting on an Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course either face to face (local to Cheadle Hulme) or a distance learning course on a Saturday/Sunday in the next couple of months

Would anyone be interested?? It would be 4 hours

I saw this on a social media platform and I am horrified that this was ever allowed to go on sale.

Who would ever think that this item would be appropriate - even more so packaging the item with a girl on the front who looks under 10 yrs old.

The negative, wholey inappropriate and disturbing messages that this item portrays really just beggars belief.

Putting so much pressure on our younger generation to become sexually active and to intimate that they should ‘practice’ so that they can be a pro is disgusting

Thankfully I couldn’t find it for sale in the UK and it is sold out/retired on another website so I hope it has been taken out of circulation

Let our kids be kids

A great couple of days back face to face training for a regular client.

It was an absolute pleasure to be able to teach 60, year 5 children life saving skills on our Junior Lifesavers Course.

The younger they learn these skills the better.

They were polite and asked a million questions and told a million stories which I loved.

They are our future generations and we should give them all the tools they need to keep themselves and each other safe.

So sorry for the SM silence but we have been super busy!!

Over the past few weeks we have taught several private courses for First Aid for Mental Health and our clients have incuded Surrey CC and BUPA.

It really was a privilege to be asked to teach their staff and now they have lots of people who can help, guide and support colleagues who may be struggling with their mental health.

I was also very honoured to be asked to put together an input for the first GMP PCDA cohort on behalf of UCLAN - even though it was a very small part it really was a great experience for me to be involved in.

In the next few weeks it is County Lines courses and a trip down South to a teach County Lines to a very important group of people 🤐🤐 🤫

An interesting poster from The Safeguarding Alliance - especially the text slang.

Worth having a look just incase you hear or see anything with regards to your own children or at work.

Any extra information to safeguard our children and vulnerable adults is always bendicial.
