We are back!!

After a summer break, we are so excited to be bringing our Welcome Café back.

Starting on the 7th September, it will take place every Monday afternoon during term-time. Each week will include different activities, coffee, snacks, and of course great conversation!

97% of the ratings given in our recent customer satisfaction survey were positive, with customers selecting either “Agree” or “Strongly Agree.”

The survey inquired about areas such as quality of care, professionalism of staff, communication, and overall service.

We are pleased to see the high level of satisfaction our customers have with the quality of care and service we provide.

Get involved in Allotment Week by visiting your local allotments, discovering a nature group near you, or simply going for a walk in a green space.

The National Allotment Society: 'Allotments are valuable community assets, boosting health & wellbeing, providing sustainable growing spaces'.

Cheadle Allotments are wheelchair accessible, have a wildlife garden, refreshments and are dog friendly. Try taking a stroll this week and connecting with nature.

A huge congratulations to two of our Senior Carers, Aline and Anna, on recently completing their Train the Trainer Certification in Moving and Handling! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of their amazing achievement. Aline and Anna are now professionally accredited to deliver moving and handling training, enabling further contribution to the skills and confidence of our care team and promoting the highest standards of person-centred care.

Dementia Action Week continues at Deckchair Care, with the first of our in-house "Understanding Dementia" training sessions, led by one of our Senior Carers!

In domiciliary care, every client’s home and routine is unique. This specialised training ensures our staff are equipped to provide the most compassionate, person-centred support, right where it matters most—at home. 💙

All carers completing the session are also being awarded the official Alzheimer's Society Forget Me Not pin badge - working together to help raise awareness of dementia.

A huge thank you to our wonderful team for their dedication to continuous learning and their desire to provide excellent care! x

Today marks the start of Dementia Action Week 2026 here in the UK! 💜

To kick off the week, we wanted to share a brilliant way to understand how dementia impacts memory:

Think of the brain like a bookcase 📚 Recent memories (like what someone ate for breakfast) sit on the unsteady top shelf, making them the first to fall when dementia 'shakes' the structure. But childhood memories at the very bottom remain rooted much longer.
